JMann Veteran Posted October 9, 2008 Veteran Share Posted October 9, 2008 Hi all, Hopefully just a quick easy one for you all, I have been setting up our new Web Server today and all has gone well apart from one thing which I can't seem to track down the meaning of. When we setup a new site in IIS 7 (Windows Web Server 2008) and then create FTP Publishing for that website, and then 'Refresh' the site we then get a '?' (question mark) on the icon of the website. Not sure as to why this is, and all the other sites without FTP Publishing are fine. The site itself is working perfectly, and FTP also but just weird and I wouldn't mind knowing what it means and if it's possible to fix. :p Attached a small picture as well to show it better (top item). ;) Thanks JMann Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/680186-iis7-question-mark-after-setting-up-ftp-publishing/ Share on other sites
Skoey
http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/263/install...eshooting-ftp7/ Under the "Known Issues" section "The icon of a combined Web/FTP site may be marked with a question mark even though the site is currently started with no error. This occurs when a site has a mixture of HTTP/FTP bindings." JMann Veteran Posted October 10, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted October 10, 2008 Nice one Ryath, obviously it's still got some underlying bugs then! Thanks for that. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/680186-iis7-question-mark-after-setting-up-ftp-publishing/#findComment-589943298 Share on other sites
