Dias
Hi guys I need a new license of Vista64 for my new MacBook and I was wondering which version was for me. I'm undecided between OEM and Student Edition. I'd like to install it on my Mac using Bootcamp, but I also would like to virtualize it with VMware (the same Bootcamp partition). I heard that some version of vista have Varitualization limits, can you confirm? Basically I'd like to know if I should go with OEM o Student Edition of Vista64 (probabily HomePremium). :) Thanks Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/680704-bootcampvmware-which-license/ Share on other sites
lars77
You can defintiely install, & also virtualize on the same machine, any retail version of Vista. It used to be just Business & Ultimate, but they changed the rules (it's in the SP1 EULA now). Not sure if that applies to OEM or Student copies..but I have a feeling that neither of the two can be virtualized. All this stuff is in the Vista EULA..like, literally search for "virtualization" in the Vista EULA: http://www.microsoft.com/about/legal/useterms/default.aspx (those are the retail EULA licenses..not sure where you can look up OEM & student EULA documents) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/680704-bootcampvmware-which-license/#findComment-589947960 Share on other sites
