I don't own a 360 anymore, but they are totally different things tbh.

The 360 dashboard is just there when you boot up, it's comparison would be against a new XMB interface.

Comparing or even polling against Home is pointless as they are two totally different things, they don't serve the same purpose and as such will have different reasons for causing excitiment.

I don't think anyone is comparing the two. It's a fair poll considering they are being released on the same date.

Exactly, they're obviously being pitted against each other (Don't really see why, though) but it's interesting to see which company is doing what users are more interested in, even though both things are good ideas.

I'm more excited for NXE than Home for two reasons. The first being that I don't have my PS3 out here where I live for school, so I can only play it when I go back home. The second being that I've never gotten into the virtual world type thing that Home is going to be, so I don't know how much I'll enjoy it, if at all.

(Y)

I'm excited for both, but not really most excited for either.

While I don't have an Xbox360, I can see the benefits that would be coming with it, and hopefully ones that I can get a hold of when I do finally get the console.

And Home will be a nice way to interact with other people who are interested in similar things as I am, which would open up the experience to be more enjoyable imo.

And while they are different things, so I wouldn't compare them anyway, and you can state that we shouldn't people are still going to because they are on different consoles, going into the topic I knew what most of the people in the gamers hangout would say anyway.

So I wont be voting, unless a both option magically comes up.

And I'm pretty sure there is no officially announced release date for Home, just someone reading an article the wrong way.

Unless someone feels the need to point em to one.

lol 66 to 19, wow :|

Hardly surprising based on NW having a larger Xbox gamer presence and the nature of facing off an untested, currently closed beta service like Home, against a well documented for release OS/GUI overhaul.

If I voted based on what I knew I was getting come Nov 19th, I'd go for NXE.

I don't know enough about what's coming in the public release of Home as of yet to even make my mind up about how excited I am for release (Other than being relieved the friggin things out :p). Although I can state I have an interest in the service to the point where I'll use it.

There is far more people here who have used Home than they have NXE :p

Haha that's true, but their use of Home seems quite pointless right now without higher volumes of involved PS3 owners.

It's pretty much just bug finding/stress testing and a desert ...

Plus I sincerely hope the closed beta versions are much lower in content/substance than what the actual release will have for launch.

NXE for me.

The concept of Home never really took my interest, its too much of an additional program that you can run on your PS3 which just seems to be too much effort to load for the tasks I'm interested in using it in (seeing trophies is all I can actually think of).

NXE kind of dumbs down the complexity of Home but involves it in the basic dash which means I kind of get the fun of Home without the hassle of loading times and launching it. I'll definitely use its new features a lot more than I would with Home.

I've also wanted a new/updated UI for the 360. As nice as the Dash is, it doesn't scale too well in 1080p with some of the fonts so hopefully NXE will fix that and the current dashboard feels a bit static sometimes.

Really? I've seen a lot of Home and I still voted NXE.

Personally I don't think you can say that for the majority of people, as Home has been publicised and a lot of information has been shown. Maybe not as much as NXE, but enough to impress audiences, if audiences aren't as impressed as much as Sony expected then I can't say the results of this are unsurprising.

I disagree completely with this, Home's been talked about for years (literally), the NXE has only been around for a few months now and guess what - they're both "closed" systems, but chances are you'll know a couple of people currently testing Home, but I don't know anyone that's got the NXE right now.

And since both are being released on the same date (Which is just over a month away), if you feel you don't know enough about Home to make a decision like this, but you do know enough about NXE (And this thread isn't about which is better, it's about which you're most excited about!), then either there's not enough to get excited about, or Sony's Marketing department is having an off day. While I'm sure the latter is the case, you have to admit, Sony's marketing is usually it's strong point, so what gives?

Both are two completely different systems, aimed at two completely different objectives, but they do share one thing in common - they're what the big M and the big S are doing to try to get users and excite people. I think it's pretty evident Microsoft is currently hitting things right, but once the novelty of a new dash wears off, I'll be interested to see who comes up on top, because technically Home is far above and beyond Microsoft's simple (by comparison) Avatar system.

I agree, the thing is that I doubt greatly that hadn't MS announced NXE will be released on the 19th of November, Home wouldn't be released then either. It's been put on hold for o long and I think it's going to be released too early.

I'm still incredibly skeptical about Home. I mean, I guess I just don't see the point of it, really. I love the idea of having your own little pad that you can somehow use to show off your games and stuff, like if you could "win" a Flak Cannon for your home by doing really well in UTIII or something, it'd be really neat. But even so, if it's not a "core" part of the console, then really what IS the point? The console is all about playing games and sure, it's nice showing off your gaming prowess, but is it really worth spending millions of $$ and man hours on creating a 3D world just for this?

I don't get the social aspect, either. Why would I want to walk around a (seemingly) dull 3D world with some sub-par minigames in it, when I can walk around a rich, fully interactive City or whatever (i.e. GTA) with my friends?

Point in case: I just don't "get" it. But in saying that, I don't "Get" second life, either, and that's sure as hell popular enough. At least with the Avatar system, I sort of get the idea of having your own character in a game rather than some nameless protagonist, but that's about it, I don't get any of the other Avatar interaction stuff.

I'm probably just getting old.

To me it's just like an advances sims game (minus having to look after your character). Just enter a virtual social world and do what you like.

Imagine you talking to your friends in an actual virtual home/living room instead of MSN, firing up minigames and comparing trophies  :p

Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics.
