Info about Vista SP2 ....

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in SP2, cause i'm skipping Windows 7. DX11, ie8, .NET 4.0 and WMP12 will be available for Vista and that's all what matters to me.

You know, I think I'd do the same thing. I'm more than content with Vista, because everything works for me on both my desktop and laptop.

I'll take the exact opposite of that! Vista is a complete POC for me and people I work with that got Vista Business preloaded on new Dell machines have more problems than those with XP Pro. Hell if they built the new Media Center into XP I'd downgrade to it on my home PC.

I believe OEM software is main cause of the problems. I'm not really sure how good OEM is with drivers. I have retail copy of Vista x64 Ultimate with SP1. Runs wonderful. Vista offers me everything i need, and additional SP2 along with DX11, IE8, WMP12 and .NET 4.0 ? Why do i need Windows 7? I'm glad Microsoft is looking for Vista support too, cause i paid $400 for Vista, and i have to justify it :)
