Silent Hill Homecoming gets Euro 2009 delay

Konami UK has sent out the surprising news that its latest survival horror instalment, Silent Hill: Homecoming, has slipped to 2009 in Europe, this despite it already being on sale in the States.

The 360, PS3 and PC horror instalment was originally due out in Europe for Halloween.

PS3 region free, 360 unfortunately not, import away if you can!

That's a shocking delay for a finished game :/ Unless they plan on actually changing things to fix complaints.

Bit annoying. Glad I'm a PS3 owner though. Hopefully I'll be able to pick a copy up in Canada. Does anyone know if its available there? If not I guess Dead Space and Bioshock will tide me over. :)

Like this is only Konami, What the hell is namco doing with ToV? Another 2009 release for EU for that also, yet I've still haven't been able to find a solid 2009 release date, just TBA. wtf?

What I don't get is why they decided to lock out PAL as well. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, surely that's just going to stifle sales?

If I really wanted to play this, I could import it on PS3, but when companies do stupid things like this, it just makes me not want to give them money. I'm half tempted to wait until it's EU release, then just pirate it to spite them.

Wow its already out in the US. Looking at Wiki it is also coming out for PC via steam so I can play it (no Xbox360 or PS3). The reviews dont look good for the US developer.
