Your Worst Computer

Celeron 420 @ 1.6GHz

1GB DDR2 RAM

2TB RAID0

Onboard video/gigabit/audio

Used as file server (not up at the moment)

not a bad pc for a file server ... but

2TB RAID ? okay...

I hope you have these files backed up somewhere, or they are not important enough to lose if one of them hdd's decides of die unexpectedly .

2TB of data is not fun to lose..

(btw, I currently have about 9TB of usable space, all redundant in someway, either direct backup, raid1 or raid5)

lol my worst computer is pretty good :p

3.0ghz p4

2gb ram

x300

160 gb hdd.

Same here -

My "worst" computer is a Toshiba A205-s4587 C2D w/ 2 Gb RAM --

I dont keep em around for long - I just sold a very "old" Toshiba m45 lappy for $300 it had a 2.0 Ghz Celeron w/ 1 Gb RAM - that thing was a fossilized piece of crap.

I also recently sold my other "old" laptop - which was my favorite - a Thinkpad T43 w/ 1.86 Pentium M w/ 2 Gb RAM & 60 Gb HDD. - I miss it - had a custom XP install on it (very streamlined) - thing was fast as hell.

My only desktop is my main system - which is an absolute beast

My worst of all time ?? I had (2) Compcraps (compaq) @ work - actually killed them both by ESD on purpose to get new ones - good thing my father owned the company :D

Mine is a P4 2.4ghz 1gb ram, 200+80gb hdd (both full) hasnt been restarted in 83days, got no video (until i restart) 128mb gfx card

I dread to think how much rubbish is in the registery and everywhere else, when I play Wolfenstein:ET I get about 8fps!

In the process of building my new pc, got an Antec P182 DVD-rw/cd, 150gb WD velicoraptor, Corsair 650watt psu, Intel bad axe mobo and Dual Core extreme edition processor. just got another ?1000 to spend on my PC and then it's complete, gonna be expensive build

Taken forever too:((

My SmoothWall PC

200MHz Intel Pentium Pro with 256KB L2

256MB of 60ns EDO RAM

3.8GB Quantum Fireball Hard Drive

NVIDIA TNT2 M64 16MB PCI

3 x NIC

SmoothWall 3.0 Polar

When I say it is the worst computer I have running currently, I mean the specifications. Other than that it is rock solid and absolutely manhandles SmoothWall for what I have it set up to do. I did some googling and found out what the computer itself cost new and what the upgrades cost during the time frame the PC itself was released or its new price and once I added it all up I was completely amazed: ~$8,700!! I bought it used along with every other component that has been upgraded and I don't even have a $100 in the whole thing!
