Ultimate Boot CD & ubuntu LiveCD

Recommended Posts

CPU mag this month, included an easy step-by-step for creating a bootable USB drive containing Ultimate Boot CD enviro, with an ubuntu 8.10 LiveCD.iso option which can be run from within the UBCD enviro.

This can be 1 helluva tech/troubleshooter tool for getting into a corrupt/ or non-bootable Windows enviro.

By using the tutorial @ www.pendrive-linux.com- you can build either enviro onto a bootable flash drive.

However if you want to have both available on the same boot drive- you need to follow the guide in the mag or here:

Portable PC EMT

Enjoy !

What I'd like to know from some of the *nix gurus in neowin - is: Is there a way to add another enviro to the mix ? I'd like to know if I can integrate my password cracker.iso into here as well ??

I know theoretically its a no-brainer - just repeat the process in the article - but "HOW ?"

Thanks

Yes, if it uses GRUB, you can easily add another entry to it.

No, I don't think that Neowin is the right place to discuss adding a password cracker. Sure, it can be used for legitimate recovery of passwords you forget. But, let's be honest, that isn't its most popular purpose. :ninja:

say you were working on someones computer and they had a password and they couldnt remember the password for some reason

ot you were working on your dads computer and he had forgotten the password. and

ah swrew it your right mark. the most popular would be retrieving info thats not yours :shiftyninja: shiftyninja: shiftyninja: shiftyninja:
