Been snowing overnight here in Coatbridge (just outside Glasgow), still snowing atm, light then heavy. Had to phone in sick to work today, buses didn't show, taxi driver told me it was running Sunday service due to snow but didn't show for me :(, then phoned a taxi and was told no way he can take me to work roads too dangerous . Just as well for me my work is forgiving .

Quick pic of the snow here:

Right, this is just taking the biscuit now. I just read this headline on TheSun.co.uk:

MUCH of Britain woke up to its heaviest snowfalls for 18 years today.

Wanna see what was outside my windows when I woke up?

This...

The only good thing that came out of this for me is that I used the old family digital camera again! :D It's still working even after 8 years of service!

BTW, It's an Olympus Camedia C-350Z in case anyone was interested! :D Not bad for a 3MP camera, although I did have to size the image down to get it below the 250KB limit.

Oh, another BTW; in the picture on the right, that's not snow. It's just grit that some idiot builders have left lying around while working on the house there.

Hmmm, after I posted earlier the snow soon stopped, I read this topic... It starts heavy snow again .

The cloud cover is really bad now, even though half an hour ago there was a glimpse of sunshine, think this may continue for the rest of the day tbh.

All the houses look the same. All new-builds. Do you like that or would you ideally prefer to live in a Victorian conversion?

They look the same in some sections, the pictures of where I live on Kings Hill.

There are a lot of 'mock' style homes.

I would prefer to live in another county in a house thats been lived in before.

The home should be larger and around 60 years old with original features that can be converted back to original use.

When I can afford to or win the lottery, then it will happen.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • draw.io Desktop 30.2.4 by Razvan Serea draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish. Easy-to-use diagram editor The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using. Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them. Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically. Double click and start typing to add a label to anything. Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool. Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools. Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries. Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics. Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates. Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts. draw.io Desktop 30.2.4 changelog: Uses electron 42.4.1 Updates to draw.io core 30.2.4.
