My "little" virtual machine, which I use mainly for college.

GTK theme: shiki-wise

Window decorations: "good old" clearbox-mistic

Icons, using a mix of the "broken" elegance preset from tango generator and the gnome-wise icon set

The rest is default ubuntu 8.10 :p

Fedora 10 on my new old-ish laptop (Dell Latitude C640: Pentium III-M 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, ATI graphics with 32 MB VRAM):

Icons: Echo Icon Theme

Font: Liberation Sans, 8 pt (using freetype with patented bytecode interpreter and subpixel rendering enabled)

For a 6-year-old machine this laptop still performs decently.

No big deal, e17 with a bunch of default settings with a small touch of personalization! Still in progress tho. Im enjoying it :b

      Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

      I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
