[PHP] Using php to make a pdf file

Hello,

Am going to use php to create a pdf file which is fine seeing as there in a extension exactly for that but was wondering if the php extension php_pdf is installed with most web hosts or not? and if not is there a way to make pdf files without this extension?

The vast majority of webhosts will not have that extension unless they have agreed to install it for a customer. Personally, I use http://www.digitaljunkies.ca/dompdf/ a pure PHP5, HTML to PDF converter.

Thanks, Kudos! :) After looking at that then looking for similar products i found a few more ways to do it! :)

There you can get a php class, nice and simple that does it all! :)

Isn't there a better way of exporting a page from php into pdf instead of generating it?

What if you have a page that you have setup the way you like it and don't want the generated one to look different?

I use TCPDF, which is built on FPDF. It seems to have a better feature set and is updated very frequently.
