Hi Guys,

Well I think it is really interesting and I'm glad that the thread has had some good reply's, honestly I thought in game music would be overlooked by many but seems I'm wrong.

I suppose this is a good thing for some bands as it introduces their music to wider audience that may have not ever heard of them before, like me with Band of Horses.

I really enjoy the original Gears of War Soundtrack, have it on my mp3 player, the 2nd one is also very nice. All time fav is FFVI with Tera's theme, the overworld theme, and the opera scene. And let me throw WoW Soundtack in there too.

Gears of War 1&2 have pretting good soundtrack and the music fits the action perfectly. FFVI music is also an absolute classic in video games history. I still remember the first time when i plugged the cartridge in my snes and heard the music coming out from this console . *tears of joy and nostalgia* :) .

Just thought I'd throw this out for all the game music lovers - OverClocked ReMix, a site for remixed versions of in-game music from just about any and every game you can imagine. There's some really good stuff on there. My favorites are the a lot of the remixes of the Doom music. I'd highly recommend checking out The Dark Side of Phobos ( a CD of Doom remixes), as well as anything by analoq.
