Kingdom for Keiflings. XBL Arcade.

I've been playing this for the last hour and a half.

So much fun.

I seem to of worked myself into a hole though. I can't figure out how to make cut gems.

Hey, in case you haven't figured it out yet. You have to build a guild hall, get the three text books in there and then you unlock some more blueprints. The one that cuts the gems is the witch one. I forget the actual name of it. Took me a while to figure out because I had the two schools plus I build the guild hall but didn't have enough text books. I ended up destroying the elementary school and used the text book from that. Have fun. Things get a bit easier from there.

I still cant figure out how I start adding onto the town hall to make the keep though :( Ah well there is still lots of stuff to build.

Love this game, I can't stop playing it :) I would recommend it.

*edit* ah looks like you figured it out heh, shoulda read more before replying. Maybe you can tell me how to start on the keep, or even getting more hearts to add more keiflings. Would be appreciated, thanks :)

I really enjoyed the demo, it's just plain fun and having the ability to use your avatar in game is neat. I'll probably buy it this weekend, it'll be a nice contrast to Gears 2. :D

agreed. From smashing skulls to quiet and cooperative chopping of wood was quite the shock. So sad when I finished the demo :(

I just spent 7 hours straight playing this game :|

It sucks you in the same way Rollercoaster Tycoon does. You just want to keep building new stuff and unlocking everything. I'm not even close to getting all the available blueprints yet; I haven't even built the castle workshop yet.

Could anyone tell me how to make the factory, I keep building things but haven't unlocked that blueprint yet. I know I am going to be stuck soon if I don't find it. What do I have to build to unlock??

It's way down the list. I think it was after you do the keep and an attachment.

    • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary in AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update but that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
    • ALL versions or ALL SUPPORTED versions? Neowin does it again.
    • But the reality is it will work for people's needs, and they don't care about the technology that makes it. Clearly not everyone's needs, but that low end space where personal laptops were only used to type emails, watch content and browse websites, but they didn't want to do that on a small screen device. Heck, writing that out I can now see the connection and reason it'll do so well. Apple is about experience. If the experience is bad, they don't release it. Low end Windows laptop manufacturers up until this point have not taken that into consideration ever before, so slow laggy usage with brittle slimey plastic shells were common. I hope that the low end space at least creates better physical products that last a bit longer, and if Microsoft get their act together, they could also have a solid OS on such low end hardware that would actually make the experience work for what the hardware was intended for. The fact that the CPU is a "cellphone", sorry mobile phone processor is irrelevant. It's about the experience, and so far, that sounds quite solid.
