Look at Post 11 and 12 on this thread. Even with baseband 02.11.07, the baseband has already been patched.

Baseband 01.45 is the modem firmware the iphone dev team is working on. But if your not looking for the soft unlock that their working on, it doesnt matter. :)

Damn you. >: P

Just read that over. But Now I'm kind of curious on how on earth I could of gotten that patched baseband to begin with. When was this version of the baseband introduced though now? cause when I first jailbroke it, I updated from 2.0 to 2.1 using the quickpwn method. Now I used the pwnagetool from 2.1 to 2.2

Was the baseband update in the 2.1 update perhaps? Cause no where on the dev blog or on the internet I have found such information.

Also, with the ability to create the custom ispw, isn't it possible to use the pwnage tool / quickpwn to put in the modified baseband in the near future (like a form of downgrading it)? Or is that just not possible due to certain limitaions, Cause I'm kind of curious about this now. Thanks guys

Also, Damn you Greatmoo.. damn you for spoiling my fun :p and yeah, Looking to softmod it in the near future. Using my Iphone in Poland using ERA and want to bring it back to Canada in the future using ROGERS. :(

Edit: also welcome to neowin. :p

You may still be just fine.

The advice we give is that the closer you are to 01.45.00, the more likely you are to be eligible for a software unlock should one become available. All we know for sure is that the baseband in firmware 2.1 ruins any chances at the moment, but we haven't taken the time to look into 02.11.07 in any great detail just yet. So sit tight and we'll find out soon enough.

As for downgrading the baseband, holes have been found to downgrade 01.45.00 to lower, but definitely not the others just at the moment. This is due to simple code in there to deny baseband upgrades to anything lower than what's currently on the device, code we haven't managed to patch yet.

Ah, thanks for answering my Questions Rob. Guess I forgot to use Pwnagetool on the 2.1 firmware to keep the original baseband. Well, Only time will tell ;)

Keep up the good work guys :)
