I can't believe people still have faith in this company. I wouldn't be surprised if those 2 games are terrible as well.

Yeah pretty much spot on. When they are working on as many titles as they are, it's no surprise the quality sucks.

The Last Remnant is a technical mess, but it's also behind the curve in so many ways. While games like Fallout 3 and Mass Effect use voiceovers for every conversation, The Last Remnant doesn't even voice every main story sequence. While games like Eternal Sonata offer immaculately detailed environments, The Last Remnant often tosses you into cookie-cutter battles in repetitive bland caves or barren fields. And while games like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey deliver towns to explore and secrets to find, The Last Remnant skimps and gives only a few points worth visiting in each small town. I can't think of one aspect of The Last Remnant that is even on par with other recent titles, let alone leading the charge.

It's not saved by a fantastic story or exciting gameplay either, which proves that just because it's a Square Enix RPG on Xbox 360, it doesn't mean it's a good thing.

GameTrailer's review was pretty good for it, as long as you can look past the graphic problems.

I'm not a fan of RPG's myself, but from their review it looks pretty solid :yes:

Party Off

Installing the game to your hard drive in the new Xbox Dashboard shortens the load screens from ridiculously lengthy to bearable, but the slowdown during large battles -- especially boss confrontations -- persists. As do other nagging problems: a hard-to-use party system that doesn't let you easily swap members around, overlong boss battles, and (outside of the major story characters) a host of fighters that are completely indistinguishable from one another. The severe technical issues are problematic, but the battle system is the game's major failing. But this review, like the game, has gone on for far too long. Some questions are left unanswered at the end of the game -- but I truly hope this is the last Remnant.
