Best display settings for a pc monitor

Recommended Posts

I have hooked up my ps3 to my monitor, as some of you may already know from my numerous posts, and now im trying to set it up to get the best picture i can. Its connected with a HDMI - DVI cable and video resolution is currently at 720p. IM not too sure what the following settings do and what impact they have on games: Cross colour reduction filter, RGB full range, super-white (HDMI) and then the following in the game settings menu: PS upscaler and PS smoothing. What should these be set to to get the best imagge? I have noticed when playing GTAIV that the textures dont seem very smooth, there are a few jagged edges here and there, is this to be expected when running through a PC monitor or can this be fixed by altering the settings i just mentioned?

Thanks
