Wireless N backward compaitble?

If I were to buy a new Wireless-N router for my home, would all other devices that are Wireless-G still be compatible? Im pretty sure they are but wanted a second opinion first before I spend.

Yes, they will be. I bought a Wireless-N router and it's awesome - have got a combination of G devices with a WRT-160N router and they work really well.

They are compatible but if I understand how it works, when you have G devices connected to the N network, the network itself reverts to G speeds. I could be very wrong about that so hopefully someone can chime in on it. Currently, I have 2 routers going in my home - 1 for strictly N devices and 1 for G devices (mainly the 2 iPhones in my house).
