Oscars 2009 (For Your Consideration)

I watched Slumdog yesterday and I thought although it was good, its not 8 Oscars good. I mean it was predictable and there isn't as much emotional substance as I thought it would be, everyone has high praise for it but when I watched it it was just not to my expectations.

Jase does it not to be shopped?, she looked awful

There is no filter on Photoshop to improve what we saw, she could of been up for best special FX.

she might not look the best...but dont forget that for 70 year old lady she is a real looker :p

Still shocked that Slumdog won so many, I normally really like Danny Boyle's work, but thought this movie was boring. It was not at all what everyone had hyped it to be. Ah well at least they conceded to public demand and ensured that Heath got his.

Even till now, I just won't want to watch Slumdog Millioniare.. even with all those Acadamy Awards I still refuse to watch it. But the one thing I'm glad is that Heath has his Oscar. Honestly if they did not give it to him, it will be out of disrespect.

I agree, but I'm glad they actually seemed to take the other nominations into account, rather than give it to him just because he died.

Why not?

This man speaks the truth. It was a Hollywood sugarcoated version of City of God. Good, but conventional and nothing was outstanding. Out of the 5 Best Pics, I've only seen this and Benjamin Button, and I thought Button was more deserving.

Trainspotting is still easily Danny Boyle's best work.

Also High School Musical for Best Picture...WTF?

My daughter hates all that High Street Musical this and that.

She says thats all the 'Chavs' talk about in school.

As for the Oscars, just more 'lime-light' for the drama queens.

    • I noticed this was already happening within my organization; my teams location will change between remote and on-site without me having to do anything. Is it possible this is live already for select customers?
    • I wonder what it will show when I'm plugged in with my ethernet cable at home and not using WiFi.
    • While LibreOffice is not pleased to see a new competitor, they are absolutely correct in stating that Euro-Office using a MS file standard as a default is not being truly "European." Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it. Your choice MS...
