I think it has to do with his mother, maybe just maybe his mother is human and his father was from gotie13. Again that's just speculation.

His father was at least a captain, judging from the way he was dressed, but that does not tell us much. He obviously left soul society long enough for no one to remember the last name Kurosaki, or, his father was actually part of the 5th unknown royal family. And maybe that 5th unknown royal family had tie-ins with hollow powers / VL and that is the reason we never hear about the 5th royal family... because maybe they were outcasted.

Dunno, I have had many discussions about all of that, and really, anything can come to tuition if they write it correctly lol. But this is one of the many things that keeps me hooked on bleach, they made such a great world and characters, to where you really want to know about the past.

Yup, long before even I think most captains who are still there. If anything, CC knows all about him, but I doubt anyone else does. But for Ichigo to have a VL hollow within him means there is something up with his "natural" power. And I doubt it's something that is pure randomness, or else we would see more shinigami with the hollow powers. It has to be family tied.

I got one question, did anytime in bleach was it mentioned that hollow can use gigai. You would know where I am getting at with ichigo's hollow form.

from what i have heard about Bleach from the people who read the Manga it often sounds like the lot of Yu Yu Hakusho heavily watered down.

Just finished watching Eden of the East.. it does stop off with a kind of cliffhanger huh? iirc someone was saying this cliffhanger would most likely be extended into a movie?

There's going to be two movies. The trailer for the first implies it'll be a recap, with the second film actually continuing the story.

"The King of Eden" will be on November 28, 2009. The second one ,"Paradise Lost" is slated around 2010 in January"

oh ok. I remember reading the title of the of the first movie as "The Prince of Eden". Will the release in November be a theatre release or DVD release?
