Watched Yurumates today. Enjoyed the comedy, it reminded me of the randomness in Azumanga Daioh/Honey and Clover and the chibi-style animation was great (Y) :D

Also finished Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 today as well, kudos to BONES/Kinema Citrus (Y) The emotions of the characters were played out very well throughout, especially how Mirai evolved from being a spoilt brat that wanted something bad to occur to becoming Yuuki's loving sister, realising that family is important and what she had lost in the end :(

The last episode definitely pulled at the heartstrings

Radish?

Just finished Death note and really enjoyed it.

Now working my way through Ghost in the shell: Stand alone complex, got both series on DVD

Catching up on Naruto. Have watched the forst 20 episodes of Shippuden so far.

Watched the first 10 episodes of Bleach and will eventually get round to watching the rest.

Love FMA but not watched any of brother hood.

Any recommendations?

well im about 150 episodes way from being fully caught up with Detective Conan the thing i love most about this series is the the filler doesn't feel like filler.

Consider picking up Black Jack, especially the OVA (10 ~50 min episodes). It's one of the most enjoyable anime series I've come across in a while. Poor animation and voice acting though. :\

By the way, did anyone have the opportunity to watch the explicit comedy "Detroit Metal City"? I haven't laughed that much while watching anime in a long time. It's must watch for any explicit, dark humor comedy and/or metal heads.

Thanks for mentioning "Baccano!" since I totally forgot about that anime. I've had Samurai Champloo for some time now but never got around watching it. Yesterday, at the end of our class, the classmate next to me recommended it to me as well after recommending "One Piece". He was teasing me though since I told him that I wanted to watch Samurai Champloo at home with better quality, yet he watched 2 episodes on YouTube. Of course I HAD to watch since it was to hard not to watch :p So I'll be starting this series after I ended my "Bōnen no Xamdou" re-run.

I just started on one piece pretty interesting (Y) oh also spirited away watching that right now

I want to catch up on Detective Conan (I used to watch it in national tv back in 1998 and loved it) but ... 13 seasons ... 546 episodes ... it seems impossible :( I think i'll just concentrate on Samurai Champloo and Death Note for now and leave Detective Conan for next holidays.

PS : Does Samurai Champloo suck for the entire series ? :D The opening Hip Hop music is getting to my nerves. Big disappointment after seeing Cowboy Bebop (which IS a masterpiece)

@mail: I thought about starting it but 400 episodes are to much to watch. I've already got a big list of "planned to watch" series :p But who knows, I think my classmate wont stop recommending it until I actually watch it, my teacher included lol.

Spirited Away is a great movie. I watched it last year during Christmas. I don't know, I always like to watch movies from Studio Ghibli during Christmas. While where at it, I'd like to recommend you "Howl's Moving Castle". It's by the same studio and same writer (Hauru no Ugoku Shiro).

it's not that bad just takes about a month and 1 week to catch up...

Seen Howl's Moving Castle after having read the book. I think that was my first ever anime, though I don't think I realised it was an anime back then. Still an amazing movie.

Samurai Champloo is a masterpiece when compared to the drivel that has been released in the past 5 years. The unique style, humor and fusion of hip hop makes it one of the wonders of anime to watch.

There are plenty of anime masterpieces that have come out in the past few years but it has been overshadowed by Naruto, Bleach and other marketable Pokemon type anime. :p

    • Microsoft releases Visual Studio Code 1.124 with smarter autonomous AI agents by Paul Hill Microsoft has just released Visual Studio Code 1.124 with a focus on faster agent workflows and improved agent autonomy. Microsoft outlined the following features as the key items in this update: Autopilot: Autopilot, enabled by default, is now smarter to determine when a task is truly done. Background sessions: Quickly send a request in the background and keep composing the next session. Session navigation: Search, jump, and step through agent sessions with the keyboard. Browser history: Revisit and search pages you've already opened in the integrated browser. With VS Code 1.124, Microsoft has enabled Autopilot by default. For those that don’t know, Autopilot is a chat permission level that you can pick to give agents permission to take initiative and act autonomously, without needing explicit user approval for each action. Also related to Autopilot, Microsoft introduced Advanced Autopilot, which changes how Autopilot decides when to keep iterating and when to finish. This helps you get more complete results without manually monitoring loops. This feature works using a small utility model that reads a transcript of the chat and decides when the task is done. Another new feature in 1.124 is the Agents window, which lets you easily explore, iterate on, and review agent sessions across projects and machines. Previously, starting a new agent session meant waiting for it to load before you could compose the next one. With this update, sessions can be requested in the background. This VS Code update also brings session navigation updates to switch between them more quickly. The update also lets you reload or reopen the Agents window so that it no longer loses your layout, so you will land back where you left off. If you use the integrated browser in VS Code, you will notice that it now retains the history of visited pages. Suggestions will now show when typing in the URL bar and can be managed by using Ctrl+H within a browser tab. The browser now also lets you customize the toolbar more; just right-click on the toolbar area to the right of the URL input. Finally, the browser has faster agentic text entry. Another improvement is experimental enterprise-managed Copilot plugin policies that allow admins to centrally control which chat plugins and plugin marketplaces are available to developers. If you have VS Code installed, 1.124 should install automatically, or you'll get a prompt. If you don't have it installed, get it here.
    • Ray-Tracing is the Radeon RX 9070 XT's biggest weakness. The Radeon RX 9070 XT might not be able to match in the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti in ray-tracing, but it can beat the GeForce RTX 5070, which is around the same price.
