...Sora no Manimani.

Radish?

Thanks.

I just finished reading Push Man. What an absurd manga... It's supposed to be slice of life of the dark side of Japanese society but it's just downright awful. The stories span eight pages and require almost no intelligence to understand the vacuous, "fill in the blank" situations.

2/10 - Sorry excuse of a manga series... Either that or the manga has not managed to stand the test of times since it was published (1967).

Another beautiful episode of Kimi no Todoke (Y) Ayane was really funny in this and Kurumi's character was kinda cute as she opened up (just hope she doesn't rain on Sawako's parade :/). But as always Sawako just takes the cake being so considerate with the feelings of others (especially when she missed kicking the football ) and how friendships work, falling in love innocently

FMA: Brotherhood was good as well (Y) Wonder what trick Olivier has up her sleeve to take down Sloth, he sounded familiar .... Turns out it's Kenpachi's seiyu as well :D

Radish?

I still love Nagisa, but Sawako is just too cu:wub:wub:

I always wondered about my fascination for romance stories. Is it the interesting drawings that make the female characters appealing or maybe the tomboy features or maybe I like strong relationships in general that can last?

I found the answer. While looking through all the "romance" manga and anime I have, I only rate the ones that have a strong female protagonist who can do well without depending on a male character. The sense of independence and confidence is rare to come across. From Yukino Miyazawa (Kare Kano) and Eureka (Eureka Seven) to the more mature Marlene Angel (Blue Gender), Motoko Kusanagi (Ghost in the Shell) and Haruka Mishima (RahXephon), they all are strong, independent women that are attractive (in terms of art) and stray away from the "dumb yet cute" stereotype that many can find in this genre.

I finally found out that it wasn't because of the high school setting or the sense of immaturity but the portrayal of women as attractive objects on pedestals and thick headed male companions that make me rage and make me wish that I had a physical copy that I could break in half or burn. Examples: Any girl from Hatsukoi Limited, Kimikiss, Love Hina.

Want to know the worst example? Bitter Virgin. The mangaka portrays an extremely unfortunate girl who survived childhood rape and abuse as some pity story that deserves sympathy and pressure us to root for the naive male protagonist. Rape and emotional problems seem to be the key scenarios in almost every shoujo or seinen manga. The question posed for every female character in these types of manga is "Does the female character seem impervious to sexism, intimidation, drama and not easy to get?" and the answer always is "Let's put the female character through pregnancy or rape or both!" I've seen several manga and anime series fall to this. I can still remember how much I wanted to just a complete mind-numbing experience when I read the last two volumes of a then-decent sports manga about running.

It's such a pity that one must wade through so much garbage to find the gems in this genre.

/realizes that I have experienced the equivalent of swimming through several manga and anime series that can be comparable to Twilight

What I made from reading Zero (manga) found here (http://myanimelist.net/manga/3885/Zero):

Zero can be summed up as a clone of X-Men except all the powers are measured in G forces (WTH?!), powerful super models with anger issues and a huge fetish for domestic abuse and fighting and helpless women who seem to have been taken out super model magazines... 3/10 - Dropped for immaturity and writing similar to that of most high school freshmen.

Watch sora no iro mizu no iro that's kinda romantic also Viper GTS and the story of little Monica and for no good reason Bible black.

>_< I prefer to re-read Dragon Ball than go through a horror fest of hentai. Don't get me started on Bible Black. All I remember was a torture scene with many women in leather and #$@#$ @#$@ !@#!@#%(^%$. I thought it was an anime series at first because it was highly rated on an anime site a few years back. Wasn't I in for a surprise... T_T

I was asking for recommendations that were NOT eroge.

In a postapocalyptic world of heavy metal fantasy, the only thing able to save humans from orcs, lizard men, and other monsters is something even MORE evil. Sealed within a 14-year-old boy, the chaotic wizard Dark Schneider is unleashed to fight four mighty generals and their plot to resurrect the evil god Anslasax!

:pinch:

Finally started Blue Gender. Grabbed it when I said "I'll get it asap" but I just haven't had time until now to watch.

Only watched the first episode so I don't want any spoilers :p but I like it so far. Just hope I can watch it regularly and finish it quickly.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
