Currently Watching,

Black Lagoon

Welcome to the N.H.K.

If someone didn't see these, for the now, I recommend them!

EDIT,

Oh, it censored the title.

@ maskedForever

I was thinking about watching K-ON - but from your description - I will be wasting my time. Will skip from my toWatch list.

@maskedforever: I've said it on Twitter and I'll say it again; You've become very negative about anime lately :/

 I know, I know. Maybe it's because I have my expectations set at Bebop, Legend of the Galactic Heroes quality. I don't have much tolerance towards anime that I immediately feel like I wasted my time. Here's to hoping that I'll get my hands on something I'll really like. Real Drive and a few other sci fi anime series from the last two years are on my playlist.

Happy Early New Year, everyone!

Could you give me an example please?

it's a form of escapism you're always going to be wasting time and at the end of the day and this has to be said most of your comments are verging on trolling trust me on this go watch Akihabara@deep all of it and if you feel yourself relating to Takeshi Nakagomi then you may want to think is anim? really for you?

I'm currently watching Trapeze. It's quite funny. Its art is amazing and I'm looking forward to watching more episodes.

Anime is a form of entertainment just like books, movies and other activities that require you to sit and not engage in physically. However, the sole reason I started watching anime was because of Kare Kano, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. I'm just struggling to find something that has those shows' quality. Deep, meaningful characters with a good sense of flow regarding the plot and character interaction. I found that in many anime series such as Black Lagoon (awesome action), Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Akira, RahXephon and ten's of others. Some anime series posed constructive questions that I never thought of. One anime series was a motivator to what I would as a career choice.

I do agree that some of my posts are borderline trolling because I find it entertaining to exaggerate my reactions to anime (except the positive ones). If you guys don't appreciate, I can tone them down to human level instead of close-to-troll level. :p I just find it hard to tolerate the "absurdities" in some anime series. Maybe I feel I'm getting too old to relate to most of the anime I watch since I can't relate to most of the characters. One thing I always do, regardless of what I read, watch or play, is trying to relate to characters and maybe that method is going to be incompatible in the near future. Have I really watched everything in anime that I possibly could like?!

Take what I say with a pinch of salt. I am quite biased against anything that doesn't push me intellectually or do something remarkable. I have extremely high expectations and don't tend to follow any fads or trends in anime. If you like cutesy stuff with loli characters, then it's a must watch. I just made it a borderline troll post because it's highly rated and very popular. I thought it was going to be a fun form of comedy by its description of several sites but I was proven wrong and found out it's not my cup of tea. It looks like anything highly rated by THEM 4.0 is what I most probably will like.

sad but true.dat

Just set aside 3 days and marathon it like im going to.

Not going to happen with Galaxy Express 999 as I have a job. Plus I don't want to rush through it on a marathon, I'm just going to focus the time I put aside for anime on this particular series.

Radish?

Without a doubt (Y) There are rumours of a second season.

I don't think I would like to see the story extended but I could be proven wrong since I simply appreciate the anime series as a basic story surrounding Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics. I think a sequel can only be justified if it manages to answer all the questions and scenarios presented in the ONA in a sophisticated, eloquent manner. Here's to hoping it won't be something along the lines of that <insert negative adjective> anime series called Eden of the East. >_>

same here it was awesome seeing it on the big screen.

That must have been quite an experience. I wonder if it will come out on Blu Ray.

I agree but stop hating on Eden of The East :p

Would be nice to see the version that is being edited for the big screen with extra footage released through retail. I'd totally buy that.

Here's to hoping for a successful sequel. :sorcerer:

:p I was really looking forward to it since it had an awesome premise but then it just turned out to be some average girl following this male protagonist who's been modeled to appeal to female viewers. Fan service is fine but when it changes a character's development significantly, I realize that I'm not watching something that's meant to be a gem in its sub genre.

or

I was just ridiculous and immature enough to berate an anime series because I failed to account that it was a josei series.

he wasn't a bishi so the girls wouldn't be interested.

Eh? Butt shots in front of the White House, being extra sensitive to the female protagonist who has a few screws loose (i.e. following a man who's being chased by the police then constantly whine about her boy problems while he's trying to piece together his Bourne Identity), etc.

that doesn't get the fangirls going at all they want a bishi that hits on another male character.

    • The most consequential argument in technology right now is not about which model is smartest or which chip is fastest. It is about whether the entire enterprise is a generational revolution or the largest financial bubble ever inflated — and the unsettling answer, increasingly, is that it may be both at once.,,,, https://www.techtimes.com/articles/318138/20260610/ai-revolution-ai-bubble-trillion-dollar-question-splitting-wall-street-silicon-valley.htm This is a very good read.  I agree with the answer to the question.
    • LibreWolf 151.0.4-1 by Razvan Serea LibreWolf is an independent “fork” of Firefox, with the primary goals of privacy security and user freedom. It is the community run successor to LibreFox. LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM. LibreWolf features: Latest Firefox — LibreWolf is compiled directly from the latest build of Firefox Stable. You will have the the latest features, and security updates. Independent Build — LibreWolf uses a build independent of Firefox and has its own settings, profile folder and installation path. As a result, it can be installed alongside Firefox or any other browser. No phoning home — Embedded server links and other calling home functions are removed. In other words, minimal background connections by default. User settings updates Extensions firewall: limit internet access for extensions. Multi-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac/and soon Android) Community-Driven Dark theme (classic and advanced) LibreWolf privacy features: Delete cookies and website data on close. Include only privacy respecting search engines like DuckDuckGo and Searx. Include uBlockOrigin with custom default filter lists, and Tracking Protection in strict mode, to block trackers and ads. Strip tracking elements from URLs, both natively and through uBO. Enable dFPI, also known as Total Cookie Protection. Enable RFP which is part of the Tor Uplift project. RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API. Limit ICE candidates generation to a single interface when sharing video or audio during a videoconference. Force DNS and WebRTC inside the proxy, when one is being used. Trim cross-origin referrers, so that they don't include the full URI. Disable link prefetching and speculative connections. Disable disk cache and clear temporary files on close. Disable form autofill. Disable search and form history...and more. LibreWolf 151.0.4-1 changelog: Upstream release, see the Firefox 151.0.4 Release Notes Notable changes: DRM now uses a per-site permission, instead of allowing all requested sites access, when DRM is enabled. • Stopped using Windows as my main workflow. Migrated completed to Linux. Been happier than a clam without a single issue nor windows annoyance. Leaving Windows has shown me the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather I went through the tunnel and I'm already at the light.
    • AirPods Pro 3 are now available for only $179 by Taras Buria Apple's third-gen AirPods Pro 3 introduced a few important upgrades over the previous generation while retaining the old $249 price. Still, that is quite a lot of money for a pair of earbuds, but the good news is that right now, you can save quite a lot of money on them, thanks to a new all-time low price. AirPods Pro 3 retain their classic look and form factor, with changes focused on the inside. These earbuds now come with five sets of foam-silicone tips, which sit much more securely in your ear, making the earbuds a perfect choice for physical activities and workouts. Additionally, new tips provide better passive noise cancellation. Speaking of noise cancellation, ANC is now much better at blocking outside noise, with Apple claiming the AirPods Pro mute up to two times more sound than the AirPods Pro 2. The AirPods Pro 3 also have heart rate sensors for activity tracking during workouts. They also support Live Translation and Hearing Aid mode. As for battery life, you get up to 8 hours on a single charge, with the case adding 20 more. The case supports wireless (Qi or Apple Watch charger) and wired charging over USB Type-C (cable not included). • Everything I have read is that the BBC is still Pro Doctor Who but wants a solid plan before they let anyone else try to do it. Which is fair.
