Just started watching Angel beats all that i can say about it is that it looks awesome.

It seems a little interesting so far, but a friend of mine showed me this pic and I can't help but see the similarities somewhat lol.

For me though, it's still too early to tell how this show will turn out, although it looks really pretty.

I just finished Baka to Test to Shoukanju... It was pretty funny, I guess. Doesn't compete with my favorite, School Rumble, though...

I also finally caught up with Shippũden after not seeing it for a long time... Though now I'm kinda bummed about having to wait every week or so for a new release. Hopefully I'll forget about it and come back to it in a couple of months again, lol.

No idea what to watch, now...

Doesn't compete with my favorite, School Rumble, though...

Obviously, with Harima in your signature ;)

Halfway through Hand Maid May, cute/funny so far with all these cyberdolls popping up randomly causing havoc

Summers Wars. A very interesting movie basing itself on the mesh of traditional and 21st web connected Japan.

Animation - 10/10 (Superb details with appropriate art direction for each scene)

Characters - 6/10 (This movie suffers from the ever prevalent, boring, cut and paste archetypes used too much in today's anime. Meek boy, headstrong, stubborn girl, with the typical personalities for the supporting cast. Slightly above average)

Story - 6.5/10 (It's quite good but suffers from the abysmal choice of turning into a typical summer action/sci-fi flick by using a lame twist that turned the amazing slice of life scenes of the first half into a shounen action kid thriller to appeal to the mass. Some of the plot twists border on the line of absurd predictability.)

Sound - 6/10 (Nothing special. Nothing that grabs the viewer's ears and makes them feel every emotion of every scene. Sometimes, there

My opinion - 8/10

It's one of the better anime movies that have been released in the 2000's. There was a lot of potential for this movie to probably the best slice of life for the 16-24 year old crowd, that's been placed in the 24/7 connected generation, but it reduced itself into the typical shounen blockbuster flick.

The famed director, Mamoru Hosoda, of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is also behind Summer Wars. This movie uses the same archetypes from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and has a very similar feel and art direction. If you liked TGWLTT, then Summer Wars is a must watch and vice versa.

Did I experience a rage moment?

The director had the audacity to add the dreaded "Bomb is going to go off, we need to beat the timer and unlock before it hits 00:00:00!!!" How you ask? Well, I'm not the writing the review to give a synopsis. :p Watch the movie and enjoy it by realizing how far anime has come in the past decade with movies such as this, Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, Ghost in the Shell 2, and others.

how many more episodes till bleach is back on track?

I havn't watched the last 5 or so because im sick of the story arks.

One last episode before the main story begins, according to the wiki (The main story will begin on episode 266).

I will say this though: Episode 263 and 264 are pretty damn good episodes for Fillers.

@Radish™: It sure was :D Both the OP and ED really sounded nice. Those are going to be on my MP3 player pretty soon :)

I've also watched SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers today. It wasn't quite what I had expected, though it was a nice watch nonetheless :)

Anyone downloaded one piece of dattebayo, I kind of figure its April fool's joke but still want to confirm. I haven't been there since they discarded naruto, so it took a while for me to get back and see what they were doing.

the ones i usually watch are from Tomei. Quality is a bit low and no preview of the next episode but they come out with it quite fast...i think

Wow I didn't know it was the same director as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time!

I've seen that movie quite a few times. I've heard a lot of people talk about Summer Wars, thanks for posting your review (Y)

I watch it soon and let you guys know what I think too :)

I appreciate it. Summer Wars is a very enjoyable ride, regardless of my harsh criticism. :p

My grammar in my review made me cringe. Note to self: Proofread review 2x before submitting.

Just started to watch few new ones,

Arakawa Under the Bridge = One screwed up series, I think they're going with FLCL route but there are too many .... can't think of any words for it but it's bad. (Not going to watch it again)

Green Green - Looks like some timetravel thing with mucho love story. Can't decide if it's good or bad, will know in after few more episodes (Will watch and then decide)

B Gata H Kei - Typical love story except the girl started with wanting to have sex 100 time in high school. (funny will watch it again).

Green Green has an ero-OVA too.

I just got done watching Ponyo the other night. Amazing. The story in this movie is nice and unique. It is a love story, but done very well. The animation is top notch, and you can notice the effort the artist put into every scene. It is also almost all hand drawn, if not completely, giving it a nice old school feel. I found the music in this just amazing as well. Each scene was just so intense or calming due to the perfect orchestra of sound.

Don't know why I put watching this off for so long, but it is great.

Tread carefully. Unless you're purposely choosing brainless anime, then I suggest skipping Green Green at least. It's one of the most mind numbing experiences in anime.

Don't encourage him.

Watch everything Ghibli. EVERYTHING. Innocent love is THE biggest theme for all of the studio's movies.

Miyazaki outdid himself with Ponyo and Hisaishi's soundtrack (as usual) was pure win (Y)

Will do, The last thing I need is some brainless story. Also I don't like sad ending in the anime I watch, FMA was really good story and great animation but the ending left me sad (which I really hate). Hopefully the new one will end better.

    • JetBrains is working to cut false positives in RustRover 2026.2 by David Uzondu Recently, JetBrains released the fifth EAP build of its dedicated IDE, RustRover 2026.2, bringing improvements like a Run gutter icon for criterion_main! macro benchmarking and a feature that alerts you when there are unused traits in your current scope. Now, the company is out with a blog post addressing one of the "most common" complaints from users: false positives. In RustRover, a false positive occurs when the editor incorrectly highlights something as an error even though the project compiles and runs successfully. This mismatch flags a gap between the IDE's internal intelligence and the actual compiler. When the editor flashes red warnings over perfectly valid code, developers lose trust in the tool, which stalls momentum. Traditionally, RustRover runs cargo check to detect compiler errors and warnings, but it also relies on its own code analysis engine to power real-time features. To provide quick feedback, this engine parses your source code into a syntax tree while inferring types and resolving names as you type. Because this engine must work on broken, half-written code and react instantly, its logic sometimes diverges from the compiler's, producing false positives that do not exist in the compiler's eyes. JetBrains said that it has a "dedicated task force" focused specifically on identifying and fixing false positives by analyzing user reports and examining large-scale open-source projects. To speed up this process, the team built an internal system modeled after Crater, the famous Rust project that compiles and runs tests for every single crate published on crates.io. This automated pipeline compares the diagnostics from RustRover's analysis with actual compiler output to catch discrepancies before they reach users, ensuring smoother workflows. RustRover, for those who're unaware, is a dedicated IDE designed specifically for Rust developers. It's been around for a couple of years now, providing features like built-in debugging via LLDB, seamless cargo integration, advanced macro expansion, and HTML support. JetBrains distributes the app under two licensing models: a paid commercial subscription and a free option for non-commercial use.
    • Last year I bought the 2TB variant for $114 on Amazon. That's crazy that the 1TB is now 67% more expensive for half the storage, even with the newer T9 already on the market. And that's considered a good deal.
    • You can disable all non needed features from Brave. There is also Brave Origin which removes them entirely and it is free for Linux.
    • I wish I could use Brave but the tab suspension feature is horrible. It doesn't suspend them like Edge does. Even after 2h open with 70+ tabs (same as Edge), it has 2GB more consumption than Edge for no reason.
