So I started reading the manga of Gantz too (about time i got to it). Must say its simply brilliant. Had they continued the anime along the storyline of the manga I'm pretty sure it would've been very popular. Just started reading a phase although to me

the death of Takeshi was quite a bummer

Just wait till you get further. Gantz is a mind trip.

Some of the anime that I watch right now like Ore no Imouto, Sora no Otoshimono and some that I don't like Milky Holmes, Panty & Stocking, Yosuga are most likely to be shut down starting July 2011 Due to the new regulation Japan has passed.

Personally I haven?t seen anything that provocative but some people might feel that way since the theme is little disturbing for some. But if they do cancel it I would miss a good laugh that I use to get every now and then especially Sora no Otoshimono.

I read about it at Kira Fansub. It's interesting that they are banning adult (and so called illegal) themed mangas and anime whereas the novel and movies of similar themes/genres are excepted from it. From Sankaku Complex

it should be noted Tokyo's governor Ishihara, a key proponent of the ban, has written a number of novels featuring scenes of graphic rape

Hypocrite!

No, it?s going to hurt manga publishers. In japan more money comes from ecchi manga?s then naruto, bleach etc., so if printing those became illegal they'll lose more than half of their revenue. Then they'll have to jack up the price of regular manga?s to compensate, also it will hurt Japan?s overall economy (much like what republican and democrats doing in America right now).

Just to be clear, the problem is with manga only RIGHT NOW. This legislation will affect anime in long run.

Yeah Femnazis are a crazy lot.

Thanks for the clarification Neo :)

Even though I don't read manga, it would be stupid to think this wont affect anime as well.

So why is it that they want to impose these regulations?

Yeah Femnazis are a crazy lot.

I would be concern if there are real female getting hurt by this, but as far as I know they're not (you can correct me if I'm wrong here). Not to mention the fact that there are real female artists whose sole bread and butter comes from creating manga?s (Ex:Mizuki Kawashita, Katsura Hoshino, Shizuru Hayashiya and not to mention HIROMU ARAKAWA).

Also Yellow Tanabe for Kekkaishi too.

It's nothing like the so called thought crime acts we see in the UK and Australia no no it's more simple than that it's just a pressure group getting what they don't like banned.

What they're saying is that some manga?s are exploiting children (I can't name them since this is a public forum). My thinking is that since lot of Japanese male are becoming more and more otaku now a days and prefers pillows instead of actual girl that japan is losing its population.

More and more Japanese female prefers westerner and want more money before they get married and let?s face it 80% of Japanese man lives in a 1 room flat. So to cut down these otaku numbers Japanese government is going for the root of the problem Manga?s.

Not even a hint?

Not even a hint?

Don't temp me, I'm 1 warning away from being banned  .

BTW Japan is getting seriously low in male population. * Not that I?m complaining it?s good for us living in west since women prefer us, but apparently japan government don?t like that a bit  .

*= I kid (Y)

V I'm not saying that's that, don't wanna take any chances unless mod approved.

How would saying the names of works of fiction lean to a banning?

Also as my Friend says it will just lead to alot more online distribution.

    • Ninja Theory's new Hellblade game is action-focused and set in Purgatory by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Ninja Thery has been building its award-winning Hellblade series since 2017, delivering Senua's Sacrifice and Senua's Saga since then. Today at the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, the studio had a brand-new installment announcement featuring Senua again, but this time, she is in a version of purgatory, and the focus is on the action. Simply named Senua, this new entry is described as a "full-on action-adventure" experience, delivering an expanded focus on combat, puzzle-solving, and freedom of exploration. The developer says that it is keeping the same high production values and storytelling features of the previous games while giving what players have been asking for in the gameplay department. The entirety of Ninja Theory is now working on Senua, giving the project much more manpower than ever before, while also letting the team draw on its action roots from Devil May Cry and prior titles. However, the studio also confirmed that its previously announced Project Mara horror experience is no longer in development. Alongside snappier traversal moves, Senua will be able to take stealth and direct combat routes. She has access to her own sword, plus any enemy weapons as well, with dual wielding also being an option for most dropped melee swords, axes, and other weapons. Outside of melee combat, Senua will be able to use special abilities that let her alter the reality around her. The world is said to be about twice the size of Hellblade 2. While this won't be an open-world experience, the linear story will let players explore their surroundings further than before. The story of Senua will be set after the events of previous Hellblade titles, with our protagonist being stuck in her own version of Purgatory. The series' well-explored psychosis themes will return as well. "She’s trapped between life and death on a quest to reach the afterlife and be reunited with the ones that she’s loved and lost," adds the studio. "Her belief is that by healing the wounds of her life, she can find the peace that is the key that unlocks the gate to the afterlife." Senua is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2027.
    • Windows has had it, it's called camera frame server. I recall when it was first introduced in an early Windows 10 release it caused issues and there was a registry entry to disable it. Seems like they disabled it by default at some point. Windows 11 brought that toggle to the settings app (not just registry) a while ago.
    • You didn't like Mafia The Definite Edition? As a fan of the first when it came out, I liked that remake.
