I haven't watched Bleach since the end of the aizen arc. Is it any interesting now?

same here.

It is filler arch.

so far , quality wise as good as Zunpaktou rebellion arch :)

the pacing is kinda slow ,i mean i really look forward to the next episode ;)

So I used to watch anime about 2 years ago and then I stopped because there was nothing I liked. I like anime that don't follow the usual anime cliches (kid is chosen one, bunch of girls are crazy about one guy, etc..). Used to watch shows like Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Fullmetal Alchemist.. is there anything like that nowadays, you know, serious anime with style?

Puella Magi Madoka Magica trust me on this one.

Oh and GOSICK.

Another episode of Naruto Shippuuden wasted on flashbacks and by the looks of the preview it seems next week's episode will have a considerable amount of flashbacks too  On the plus side we finally learn a bit more of Zetsu's abilities in the manga and I'm looking forward to next week's chapter :woot:

One Piece has been a bit slow in terms of plot development in the manga; we still haven't seen the straw hat crew in a proper battle where they show off their new abilities :pinch:

What the hell?! Does it have ears coming out of its ears!?

On a different note,

I would recommend Haibane Renmei to anyone looking for a more mature story... then, say... Angel Beats.

EDIT: Although both anime are similar in concept, it feels insulting to mention Angel Beats in the above sentence.

This threads been inactive for over a week. i don't remember it ever being inactvie this long

Anyways I just watched the new episode of Gintama. It was intense esp the second half. Looking forward to the next episode

It's cause all that ever gets talked about is shounen anim? which never really changes so there isn't much to discuss.

I've been quite busy lately with new GF and work... but all good :)

Going to watch Eden of the East Movie 1 tonight on Netflix :) Heard great reviews about it.

The new bleach anime filler arc is actually very good. I like the story, and there is a good deal of mystery still. Looking forward to some Kenpachi fights, especially if the new Opening Intro is anywhere close as to who he might be fighting :)

Bleach manga is odd... I'm still unsure about it. There is a great deal of mystery, and so far, nothing has been answered. I hope they bring some answers soon, or many will lose interest if it doesn't.

Also, not sure if anyone has checked these out on Netflix. But there is a good deal of Comic Animated movies, mainly x-men, spider woman, and Iron man. But they are very mature, and drawn well.

Hmm.. That's interesting

I've been too scared to watch it since Aizen.

Watched most of Rurouni Kenshin, can't believe I hadn't seen that before, very good show!

Very good, that it is :p Samurai X movies is the must watch before that series if you can... just don't watch the one where Kenshin dies till you finish the series :p

This new Bleach arc is very good. Battles, suspense, mystery... it's all there.

Just realized that some Bleach (filler?) is pretty much indistinguishable from post-tournament developments in Hakusho.

Witchblade apparently is not bad, actually it is pretty good when considering that character design is rather pervvy.

Started watching it with really low expectations, ended it pretty satisfied.

Story is not bloated, concept good, execution could use work.

My pre-order of Evangelion 2.22 blu ray has just been despatched :)

I've watched it already before through the usual means  but its been almost a year, so hopefully i'll have forgotten some of it, plus the extras might be good.

Am I the only one who thinks the quality kinda degrades at the end (excluding the post-credit sequence).

So, I just marathon?ed Season 14 of Bleach, sans the filler. I should start by saying I don?t expect much from Bleach.

Some of it was pretty bad. Some of the arc seemed really drawn out. A lot of drawn out fights between characters that were just introduced or characters I did not care about. Some of the plot points were kind of? bad :

Aizen?s ?I?ve been watching you! Since you were born! With cameras!?

. The constant reuse of footage was the worst, though. Maybe it plays better when you don?t marathon it, but some of the footage was from seasons ago and I had seen years ago, and I still thought: ?yeah yeah, I?ve already seen this, move on?.

But, at some points it managed to impress me. The last episodes of the arc are pretty good, especially 307 to 310. The atmosphere shifted dramatically from the rest of the arc. The design seemed to get a lot better. And, this might be a spoiler for the end of the arc:

If Kubo had just ended the manga at the end of this arc, I would be totally satisfied. It feels like a satisfying end at the end of this arc. I don?t feel like I would need more Bleach. Which is a compliment to the series, it?s hard to end things neatly as I can tell you having watched many a series, but I feel like Bleach pulled it off really well.

All in all, I have to say I came out of it more satisfied than I thought I would be. By the end of the arc, I was really into it and was rooting for Ichigo and was invested in the story line. Would I call Bleach a work of art or ?some of best of anime out there?? No. Hell, I would probably have a hard time recommending it to others. Is it enjoyable? Yes, I think so.

for me it was enjoyable to a point and that point was before it became DBZ with swords and ever since the passing of Tomoko Kawakami i don't think ill be making the mistake of picking bleach back up.

But yeah all in all if you want a good shounen just watch YuYu Hakusho a few dozen times.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
