how did you find neowin?

I want to know how everyone found out about neowin.

my friend and I played Halo PC with told me about it in late 2005.

I searched the web for visual styles and got to the forum section. I bookmarked the section and the bookmark was actually titled XP Styles for quite some time before I at some point accidentally went to the main page and found out about the actual Neowin realm :) In other words, for me it started as a site where KOL and others announced upcoming styles and posted fresh ones.

I came to Neowin via Aqua-Soft. Lurked for several months before finally registering just to comment on a specific thread. Now I hardly ever visit A-S anymore, as I drifted away from the Mac emulation scene :/.

My first encounter with the Neowin forums was about a year ago regarding uxtheme.dll's for XP Service Pack 3. Since then, I kept finding myself redirected to Neowin whenever I was searching for a computer problem via Google. After a while I gave up and joined, and I am glad I did :)

I don't really remember... I think it was mainly all of the Longhorn bustle back in the day. I was lurking [H] at the time, and it was too hectic for me, so I found that here was a more suitable posting environment.
