What kindof mouse?

Recommended Posts

I am looking into buying a new mouse. I have a old microsoft mouse and It has some bugs. The scroll doesn't work well now and the click is messed up. I think it doesn't work with vista well is the problem.

I was wondering what mouse would be goodl

microsoft habu

Or

comfort mouse 3000

What do you think would be the best mouse. I don't game but I think the habu is the best deal and the best mouse. I like the laser mouse better. I want a good mouse that doesn't have bugs. I don't game much.

I was reading on a site that they gave the habu mouse really good reviews. I wanted to get a gaming mouse also or a good mouse for when stargate worlds game comes out lol.

Is there a computer superstore type place near you?

Not suggesting you actually buy one from them but sometimes the larger computer stores have some out on display that you can actually pickup and hold.etc

Might help you in making a decision

G5 has good reviews, I don't like a wireless mouse. Several years ago at least 7, my cousin had one and when the gsm phones rang or got text messages he had to reset it because it interfered with the signal. I know it would prob. be different now but I just don't like that chance of that happening again. Plus you have to recharge it. I like a wired mouse.

^I didn't like the feel of that. I got the G5.

G5 is wired, G7 is the wireless version :)

As for working with vista what would be the best? I want a mouse that doesn't have bugs with vista. I know mine doesn't work well with it.

You may want to look at the mx518 if you like the g5, it has the same casing just with a few buttons in different places and the dpi goes to 1600 instead of 2000 but it doesn't cost as much with rebate it will only be $30

I have had mine for about 18 months and used it on both xp and vista the only thing i would warn you against is the software that comes with the mouse, I needed to do a system restore to get the mouse working again after installing it but I think the same software comes with the g5 and the dpi switching works without it

I went to best buy tonight like you all said and looked at different ones, the feel of them and stuff. I am glad I did, the comfort mouse 3000 is horrible in feel. It's to small for one thing. And the mouse you mentioned below is a really nice one. I like the scroll button on the side, but the price is alittle out of my range.

The best mouse I saw was the microsoft laser

It had the best feel I have ever felt on a mouse. Of course the logitech mx 518 and the g5 was not out on display just on the bow so I was limited to the packaging.

The only draw back on the Microsoft one is it's wireless. I know in the past wireless wan't good. Anyone have a wireless mouse and like it? Does it inter fear with cell phones and wireless networks? Also, when the gsm cell rings will it mess with the mouse?

If you don't mind stretching your budget: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826104015

Best mouse I have ever used. By far.

Is there a wired verson of the mouse I posted from bestbuy?

I'm a huge fan of the Microsoft Optical Wireless Series. Never had a problem, very comfortable, and the software is only needed if you want to program the extra buttons for specific functions (I only use one button with Ventrilo, so not much use for me there).

I originally went wireless because my corded mouse was hanging up after lot of movement during gaming. These Microsoft ones are the first wireless mice I've used, and I've been very pleased.

The Habu seems cool while just looking at it, but do you think the blue glow might be distracting? Apparently, our eyes react differently to different colors. I remember there once being a problem with indicator lights on a certain product because they were an eye-catching blue, rather than green. Just something to think about.

I don't really think I will like the habu. I don't think it would feel good.

Okay, I just bought the natural wireless laser 6000 microsoft mouse and it seems to be going fine. I really like it so far. It works really well and I don't have the bugs like I did with my old one. The only problem I see is the place to put your right fingers to the right. I have big hangs. This is the biggest mouse I could find and it is nice to far. The only mouse I see that is bigger is the sidewinders. If I don't like this one I will take it back to best buy and get that one but I think this one will work out fine.

I tried making a cell call right next to it and didn't see any problems at all. So that is another plus.

Oh and the scroll works perfect, it's really smooth and no clicks and I love that.

    • Microsoft, why can't I just turn off Copilot on my MS account (in order to stop OneDrive from wanting to summarize everything, ahem) in a way that doesn't break OneNote instead?
