sorry, I was lazy to give direct links to the artists.

The best linux desktop I have seen in my life.

What background image is that robz0rz?

To be honest, I've been trying to find it again.. I would have sworn I got it off deviantArt as a daily deviation a while ago... You can see the name it is saved by, so it was probably packed in some sort of archive if it really is from dA, but I can't seen to find it anymore. I have the 1680x1050 version that I can send you if you want. If anyone else knows the original origin of that wallpaper, please drop me a message

I've hopped over to Arch :)

Still a long way to go with this, but coming together nicely.

Btw, if someone knows how I can get rid of those 3 desktop icons I'd be grateful ;) I'm sure there was an option in Xubuntu, but it seems to be missing for me.

I'll post a tar of the two configs, the scripts and the fonts when I get home.

I can't take credit for the sidebar config though, I got that config from Cookie on the archlinux forums here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=463704#p463704

I just made a few small modifications.

    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
    • whoosh my comment went over your head. Enjoy your notchless 3:2 OLED device
    • As a game dev, today was really depressing. They announced that Blueprints will be deprecated in UE6 to be fully replaced by their sh**ty Python-like Verse language... They also announced that 5.8 will be the last version of UE5 until UE6 comes out in MID 2029!!!! They have completely lost the plot.
