markwolfe Veteran Posted December 1, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 1, 2008 Still 32-bit here. I got a new Core2Duo machine with 4GB of RAM, and since I had 32-bit Xubuntu already handy and burned to CD, I just installed that. I'm thinking about getting more RAM after Christmas (unless I get as a gift for Christmas) and that will drive me to bother installing 64-bit. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted December 2, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 2, 2008 64Bit here, my hardware's all compatible, and the only downside (if you can call it that) is lack of 16bit support, not a big loss. *RedBull*
i use the 32bit edition of Vista. I may as well format a HD and run a 64 bit. That would be good. Or does it still lack drivers? way2quik
64bit. I'm no tech guru , and i really dont know the significant difference between 32bit and 64bit, but I do heavily multi-task and encode videos and such.... not that this is of any relevance to the topic.... :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/704878-do-you-have-a-64-bit-or-a-32-bit-os/#findComment-590212216 Share on other sites

Kronir
Both my XP Pro and Vista Ultimate are 32-bit. Sadly, with the latter being one I bought from the university that didn't come with a 64-bit disk, I'm not eligible to get a 64-bit version from Microsoft (I tried). :( Oh well, I'll be sure not to make that mistake with Windows 7... :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/704878-do-you-have-a-64-bit-or-a-32-bit-os/#findComment-590212460 Share on other sites
