32bit with 4gb of ram. Even though it doesn't use all the ram, I still prefer to get proper support with applications and games.

Which 64bit still doesn't provide (many games and drivers are buggy as hell on 64bit system and some applications, doesn't even come in 64bit flavor).

What OS do you run? I have Vista x64 and every single app and game I've tried has worked fine on it. The 32 bit compatibility in Vista x64 is great. Also I've had no problems getting 64 bit vista drivers for my comp.

32bit apps run under 64bit versions of Windows fine.

The only problems you'll have are kernel level things.

Edit: And terribly written applications

I *was* using vista 64-bit until I bought a Microsoft Fingerprint Reader, which has no 64-bit driver available. Now I'm back to 32-bit. :(

Those friggen' hardware vendors, always holding Microsoft back with their inadequate, crappy driver support for Vista 64-bit. :p
