Grouping a soundtrack in the iTunes library?

How can I group a set of songs together to only show one piece of album art in Cover Flow?

I've selected them all and set the "Is part of compilation" to "Yes" and enabled the "Group compilations when browsing." preference. The tick box doesn't seem to stay ticked when I go back to the "Is part of compilation" screen, however.

Any ideas?

Right Click > Info > [info] v

Put something generic in the field "Album Artist" something like "Sound Track" would well fit here.

I hated iTune for that since 50% of my library are compilations, so it was everywhere a bunch of the same cover.

I selected the songs, right-clicked and clicked on Get Info. I changed 'Album Artist' from blank to 'Soundtrack' and there is no change :(

Try right-clicking the column headers, choosing Album Artist so it comes up, then sort your library with that :)

I've used Winamp to remove 'Album Artist' from all of my MP3 as WMP prefers it over 'Artist', but I prefer 'Artist'

EDIT: Seemed to sort it by changing the 'Album Artist' of soundtracks etc. to 'Soundtrack' then arranging them in order of 'Album Artist'. If that field is blank, iTunes will fall back to 'Artist', which is good :)

What I usually do is sort iTunes on Album names. Edit the tags of the soundtrack so that they all are in the same Album name and set compilation to on.
