Logitech Z-2300 any good?

If you are not an audiophile, but still love music and especially games, these and the Klipsch 2.1s are tops (oh, and the Swans M10). Most people here aren't anal about having uncoloured sound (computer speakers tend to pack too much bass compared to real speakers), so it'll be good.

I got these speakers a week ago and all I can say is WOW! I used to have another pair of cheaper 2.1 speakers that came with my computer and the minute I plugged these speakers into my computer I could hear a great improvement in the quality of the sound. The speakers are also "THX Certified" which means that they have gone through certain tests to measure the quality of the speakers. I highly recommend getting them, they are well worth the price!

+1

They are excellent speakers. I got mine over a year ago and am still very impressed with them. Price may seem a little expensive but its well worth it, blows most other systems out the water.

I'm sure they're fine, but I'd rather look into getting speakers made by an audio company, not one that makes mice and peripherals and whatnot. They look like they cost quite a bit for a computer set. I know there's mini monitors by companies like M-Audio or Edirol that will give you a much cleaner truer sound for the same price.

I have them and they sound pretty good, and, as it has been stated before, they do have a bit of a "bassy" sound (more emphasis on the bass) but man do they make for some nice explosions.

NOT audiophile quality but certainly better than most of the stuff in or below it's price range.

yeah im not looking for something thats too expensive. just something i can listen to music and play games with on my computer. im in a dorm too so i wouldn't have room for a huge set up anyways.

Ok, these speakers are more than OK for a dorm, I live in an apartment and have never cranked my set past 3/4 of the max volume

I have heard these speakers and they are fantastic. I listen to alot of different audio systems and myself own a set of z-5500 digitals and I can assure you that both sets are fantastic. They offer rich and powerful bass, smooth midrange and clean and crisp upper tones. To say you would not buy them simply because the manufacturer in question happens to make other pc pheriphials is nonesense. To quote Jeremy Clarkson: the last time somebody was so wrong as you was when a politician stepped off a plane in 1939 and claimed that there would be no war with Germany.
