Default Win2K Admin Password>

Recommended Posts

The default administrator password is normally a blank - unless you set it when you were setting up the machine. It would be blank. There are quite few tools available to change a password of a machine you have physical access to. Just search for them.

Highlight 7: Get Access Without Administrator Password

Without your password, you will not get access to your XP/2000/NT system. If you lose or forget it, the only solution is to reinstall Windows in order to regain access. O&O BlueCon offers a tool to reset or change the password of user accounts in order to give you access to your machine again.

Yeah - bluecon is great, but I do not think an normal user is going to fork that type of cash, because they forgot their password. There are quite a few free options available. Search for them. Since the posting of links to where to get such tools is really against neowin policy ;)
