Adding WAV to itunes Library

Question

Hi

I have recenly upgraded to windows Vista, having reinstalled iTunes none of my WAV encoded audio files have been added to my iTunes library and i cannot see a way of adding them..

All the albums are in the iTunes library on a seperate partiton on my hard disk, however none have or can be added, if i try and add them manually they still refuse to be shown in the library

Does anyone know what i need to do to add them automatically is there an option to check?

Im usung iTunes 8.0.2.20

Many Thanks

on the apple website it says to

o Add File to Library

o Add Folder to Library

Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add

If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library", iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. The adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes preferences.

having done this all my MP3's have been added yet all wav files have not any sugestions?
