The best album of 2008

Recommended Posts

Out of those posted so far, I've heard Rise Against and Metallica. I was never a Metallica fan, but Rise Against seemed kind of meh... I need to give it more time, but the only song that stood out was Entertainment, and I didn't really like the subject...

My top albums would probably be..

36 Crazyfists - The Tide And Its Takers

Metallica - Death Magnetic

AC/DC - Black Ice

Meshuggah - obZen

Ill Nino - Enigma

In Flames - A Sense Of Purpose

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular

Gnarls Barkley - The Odd Couple

Deftones - Eros would be on my list no doubt if it wasn't for the delays & Chi's crash :(

Music event was T in the Park where I saw Rage Against The Machine play :)

Deftones - Eros would be on my list no doubt if it wasn't for the delays & Chi's crash :(

I feel so bad for him, so long and still the same condition :( I follow updates on another forum, and it's come to the point where people are getting afraid when a new update pops up because they fear for the worst.

Deftones wouldn't be the same without Chi...

I know the feeling. As sure as I am he will make a full recovery, I can't help fearing the worst sometimes when reading the Deftones blog. It definitely sounds like he is fighting and making a strong recovery from the wording in the latest entry..

On that note, Chi's condition still remains about the same. I wish I could elaborate, but there's not to much to add at this time, other than I know he's ****ed and wants the f*** outta' that hospital......................for real, this I know.

For me its Kids In Glass Houses - Smart Casual, but most people wouldn't have heard of them I imagine.

As some people above have mentioned:

Foals - Antidotes

Kings of Leon - Only by the Night

Also I was pleasantly impressed with the new Fall Out Boy album.

My list:

  • Metallica - Death Magnetic
  • Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy
  • Blue Stahli - Antisleep Vol. 01 (It's a free download! :) http://www.fixtstore.com/page/3/freestuff )
  • Celldweller - Soundtrack for the Voices in My Head Vol. 01 (Again, a free download! :) Go to the same place as the Blue Stahli album)
  • Disturbed - Indestructible
  • Feeder - Silent Cry
  • Innerpartysystem
  • Nickelback - Dark Horse

My top 5 albums of 2008 are:

  1. Metallica - Death Magnetic
  2. Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy
  3. Innerpartysystem
  4. Nickelback - Dark Horse
  5. Blue Stahli - Antisleep Vol. 01

    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
