installing google chrome on a network

Hiya, im trying to figure out a way of deploying google chrome on the school network (with administrator's access, of course) - can i just downoload an offline installer and convert to an MSI?

Any ideas? im pretty stuck here :(

tell the kids its a competency and they'll be marked on how well they perform tell them they need to download and successfully install google chrome

However, the way the domain is adminstrated, everybody has their own user account, and are not allowed to install programs. What im looking for is a way to deploy chrome to every computer on the network, as we have easily 300+, so manually is a bit of a problem ;)

We have some batches for installing things likr ie7, oo.org, etc, but this is a little more tricky.

Also, a slight complication is the proxy settings. Due to the way the local council monitors the internet connection, every web browser must have a proxy configured which points to the councils *.PAC, which is a way of blocking the internet connection. The reason we think that chrome is suitable is becuause it shares the internet settings with internet explorer, which are managed only by administrator.

Any ideas now?

Well, provided that the users can't modify the proxy settings, eg use the staff proxy :), then i dont see why not.#

Yes, i'd say it the fastest google product to go from beta to release.

However, it still only has a small market share :(
