[Official] Dexter Season 4

It's probably Trinity, but it also could have been random. It's hard to tell with these writers. I was hoping Lundy would go out another way. I saw his death coming several episodes ago. His story arc had no ending, he was just there to tell everyone about the killer and get them hooked before he signed out.

Now with Deb involved though Dex is going to be on the case hard. He ends up meeting Trinity similar to his brother, unsuspecting. At leas thats how it appears in the promo, they shake hands at some convention. How awesome would it be if Trinity tried to use Dexter as one of his victims.

Also that marco polo bit was great. "Surprise!" needle in hand. And my other favourite, "I know everything" "Ima choose not to misinterpret that."

No no no no, the best quote was:

Cop: You the kinda sicko that likes to watch a woman in pain?

Dexter : Not that kind of sicko, no.

That's actually not a realistic portrait of a serial killer. If a serial killer thinks he's about to get caught, as the Trinity Killer clearly states, "I'm found," then he may take drastic measures to so that he isn't caught. Trinity realized that only Lundy saw him there and Deb obviously didn't see him, only has what Lundy told him (that is if they ever got around to talking about that), so it is very possible that it is Trinity.

Serial killers aren't arrogant. They are intelligent and everything is planned out. Mass killers are, however, arrogant. There's a HUGE difference in the two.

My first instinct was also the Trinity killer. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else - shooting Deb and Lundy doesn't fit his MO; he seems to have a code of his own that would be broken by doing that. It also doesn't seem like a 'smart' enough kill to be Trinity's work. He's still my first suspect though.

I agree with you completely. It seems to easy for it to be Trinity, and of course, as you point out, he does seem to have a code, but if it is close to what Dexter has, his number one rule is not to get caught. So maybe he bends his rules more so than Dex when it comes to taking out possible threats?

Or maybe he panicked? Maybe this is the closest anyone has come to catching him and he freaked out. He clearly has more psychological issues to deal with than Dex does.

Yea I'll give you that. There are so many good quotes in each episode. I love just about all of his narrations during conversations. I'll be upset when the season is over but we still have 8 to go :)

So I watched "Dirty Harry" finally and wow what an amazing episode. The ending was great, Jennifer Carpenter had a great scene and the suspense while Dexter was frantically searching through that building was pretty intense. I cannot wait for next weeks episode. This one felt like it was only half an hour long.

Rita is getting on my nerves though. I can understand her frustration with Dexter about the apartment but she seems to be holding a grudge in regards to his past errors which people normally don't do in a marriage. Why can't we get the shy, timid, polite Rita back minus any insecurities or fear of abuse? There is no middle ground with her - She's either too timid or too bossy.

Best episode of the season so far. Dexter's wife is starting to get on my ###### though. I'd love to see her blood splattered all over a wall!

Well, if Dexter series sponsored a drawing for guest character who could then choose to kill off anyone of the character's except of course Dexter, it would be possible other people feel the way you do.

Debra's so annoying, why couldn't she have been the one who died? :p

-Rich-

I agree. I'm annoyed by her character. But then that's part of the appeal of the show, the good, the bad, and the annoying. ;)

Am I the only one who thinks it was Anton who shot Lundy and Deb? in the hospital Deb says "Lundy had this look in his eyes like he was apologizing" unless she means about getting her shot, but Anton also didn't care about Deb sleeping with Lundy.

Yeah I guess that's possible... :)

:omg: what about spoiler tags????? :pinch:

Are people aware she' is Dexters wife in RL?

I dont think I could live with her!

Whoa! I did not know this. If she is anything like her character on the show, I would love to know how he stands her. :)

My friends and I wish the same thing too. But we all know this will probably never come true.

Am I the only one who loves Debra (No not in that way) I love the F Bombs and the way she just tells people straight up how she feels about everything. I also agree with DomZ on the "Dexter's Wife Needs to Die" (on the show, not in RL).

Love Debra and starting to get annoyed by Rita.

    • Zed 1.7.2 has landed with updated OpenCode models, bug fixes and other improvements by David Uzondu Zed 1.7.2 recently landed on the stable release channel, bringing a host of AI-related features including automatic context compaction and settings-based skill management, along with other things like better Markdown preview rendering and custom git commands in the graph view. Starting with the AI stuff, the developers introduced "/compact", a command that basically summarizes your conversation history on demand. This tool prevents your active chat window from hitting token limits by compressing older parts of the dialogue into a brief overview. In addition to that, the team relocated skill management to the settings UI, improving how the application communicates errors regarding those skills, and updated the OpenCode model roster to support DeepSeek V4 Flash, MiniMax M3, Qwen 3.7 Plus, and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free. External agent users can also monitor context window cost metrics and delete individual sessions directly from their history. Right-clicking ref labels in the git graph now opens a context menu that runs different actions against selected targets, kind of how VS Code does it. Here are some of the bug fixes this new release brings: The active agent fails to auto-select when creating a new git worktree. A scrollbar unexpectedly appears on wrapped code blocks in the agent chat. Collapse indicators for project headers appear when performing sidebar searches. Bracketed ellipsis title prefixes fail to show the ellipsis icon properly. Project icons render incorrectly in the recent projects picker. Diff hunk controls appear inside non-editable commit view multibuffers. The software update button hangs indefinitely on the downloading stage. Restoring an agent terminal in a remote project triggers a sudden crash. Splitting a pane that contains an active commit view causes a crash. Linux Wayland freezes when trying to read the clipboard from laggy external apps. Zed is a "newish" code editor trying to break the massive stronghold VS Code has on the developer community. Funny enough, the editor was created by former GitHub employees who worked on the Atom text editor (which Microsoft killed in 2022, several years after it bought GitHub). The project officially hit version 1.0 back in April, introducing platform parity for Windows and Linux alongside deep support for DeepSeek-V4-Pro.
    • 26H2 absolutely will support ARM Windows just not on devices that came with 26H1. This is evident by the fact I am running 26H2, which on my MacBook Neo and Surface Pro 12 (inch), within a VM.

    • The FIFA World Cup is not US centric.
    • It’s amusing how Microsoft is pushing IT admins as if this was a major, game-changing update. In reality, it’s just an enablement package that bumps the build number, which is disappointing compared to the more substantial 22H2 and 24H2 releases. Technically, 25H2, 26H1, and the upcoming 26H2 are essentially the same, differing only in support schedules. They could have included the Windows K2 improvements here, but chose not to. The era of Windows being in the backburner continues, and this 26H2 release feels like an afterthought. Shame, Nadella, shame.
