stuck in recovery mode in quickpwn

i've gone through this darn quickpwn thing several times now and i've gotten stuck in the first step "waiting to connect while in recovery mode". It gets into recovery mode and i can hear it connect to the computer from the sound that vista makes, but it does not go on to the next step (holding the home button). I've tried several things and nothing seems to work. anybody have any solutions? I'm on an iphone 3g with 2.2 firmware.

i had to do it a few times, do u give it sufficient time after it recognizes your connected before it asks you for the prompts, maybe try re-booting your pc and see if that helps, it did seem like a fussy program to use...
