How is Quad SLI working out for you? I heard there are problems with it still, e.g. microstuttering, limited memory bandwidth, and lockups. Have you been having any issues? And what drivers are you running for it?

Edit: Also, would you recommend the V8? You're practically building the same thing I've been planning. :p

Quad SLI is just working out awesome, I have tested in Crysis @ 2560 *1600 DX10 mode X64 Binary and performance boost of around 56% :D Which is awesome. No lockups yet *knock on wood* Limited memory bandwidth is an issue but heh this is good until cpl of months until Nvidia comes up with their new GPUS :D I am using 181.22 WHQL.

I would definitely recommend the V8 if you are not overclocking its not loud and idle temps are around 26 degrees (ambient room temp 74 degrees F). If you plan on OC'ing get the the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme. Best Air cooler out there.

The coolermaster V10 is also awesome with no condensation issues but it was just a little too big for my needs. I am updating the mainpost with some Vantage scores (everything @ stock).

very nice!

what's that little box bt the two cases in the first pic?

Its a Buffalo 4TB Terastation Live NAS that I have had since around 2 yrs now (thats where all my p0rn [lmao], apps I use on my pcs, Game patches etc goes]

Thanks for the replies guys! UPS just arrived a while back with the parts I needed..just need to run and grab a raptor X from the attic and I will start building this baby. Pics of parts updated on original post.

That is a sick case man. Aww also a new i7 build that will be fast. Hey are you going to gut your other pc for that build? Or all new parts?

All new parts mate. I have 6 gaming class desktops and I dont mean crappy gaming class..Good ones and 3 lappies. So this will be an addition. I might however sell the parts from the watercooled box :D

Damn Mr.Money hehe is that for a lan or something? I was thinking of going with a new i7 and get another GTX285 and a 30" lcd but that would mean about $2,500

hey aniv...something wierd about that benchmark why does the 965 extreme get a lower cpu score then your setup

but get almost an extra 20k points on the graphic side? seems very wierd :s

hmmm I havent actually compared. I will run the tests again and ask some buddies @ evga forums to run on similar setup and see how it goes.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets another hotfix for one of the game's online modes by Taras Buria Recently, Forza Horizon 6 players discovered an interesting glitch that allowed farming a crazy amount of in-game credits in a few minutes. Playground Games quickly pulled the plug on the exploit by disabling one of the game's online modes, and today, the studio is rolling out another hotfix. In my review, I complained about the game still showering gamers with cars, credits, and wheelspins. As such, earning money in Forza Horizon 6 is not a particularly difficult task. You simply have to play the game, crazy, I know. However, people still found an easier path to becoming a billionaire in Forza Horizon 6. All you had to do was purchase the Hummer EV, install a specific tune, shift in reverse while going at about 15 MPH, hit a wall, and get launched into the stratosphere at the speed of light. While mid-air, launch Eliminator and quickly get eliminated. Boom, the game just awarded you with a few million in-game credits. Initially, Playground Games disabled Eliminator to prevent people from farming credits. Now, following the release of the first balancing update, developers are rolling out a new update that re-enables Eliminator and gives users a free McLaren Sabre as a gesture of goodwill. Here is the changelog: One critical issue remains unpatched, though. There are quite a few reports of the game wiping gamers' saves, and developers are still looking into that. To avoid potential data loss, Playground Games recommends taking one of the steps outlined in a previously published support article.
