aniv
Hi Guys! Im so excited to share details of my i7 build, I will be also sharing best practices as I install and tune my system. Here is the case so far (Coolermaster Spartan CSX)! Waiting for UPS to deliver all the components :D Parts are here woop woop!! So I decided to do quad sli..it flys :D 3Dmark Vantage Scores (all at stock) Single 295 GTX SLI 295 GTX How is Quad SLI working out for you? I heard there are problems with it still, e.g. microstuttering, limited memory bandwidth, and lockups. Have you been having any issues? And what drivers are you running for it?Edit: Also, would you recommend the V8? You're practically building the same thing I've been planning. :p Quad SLI is just working out awesome, I have tested in Crysis @ 2560 *1600 DX10 mode X64 Binary and performance boost of around 56% :D Which is awesome. No lockups yet *knock on wood* Limited memory bandwidth is an issue but heh this is good until cpl of months until Nvidia comes up with their new GPUS :D I am using 181.22 WHQL. I would definitely recommend the V8 if you are not overclocking its not loud and idle temps are around 26 degrees (ambient room temp 74 degrees F). If you plan on OC'ing get the the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme. Best Air cooler out there. link : http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/pro...ler_1366rt.html The coolermaster V10 is also awesome with no condensation issues but it was just a little too big for my needs. I am updating the mainpost with some Vantage scores (everything @ stock). very nice!what's that little box bt the two cases in the first pic? Its a Buffalo 4TB Terastation Live NAS that I have had since around 2 yrs now (thats where all my p0rn [lmao], apps I use on my pcs, Game patches etc goes] Link: http://www.buffalotech.com/products/networ...rastation-live/ Detailed specs and benchmarks please :woot: See below for specs, benchmarks for games I own coming soon :) how much did this build cost you ? Unto Darkness
nVIDIA GTX 295 X 2 = :omg: Gaming performance I think you could get a decent frame rate for Crysis even with very high settings AND AA on. Thirtythree
No man, Crysis pwns everything ;)Even dual 295s! Crysis is a game you play one time though and isn't worth spending all that money on (SLI, Crossfire, etc).
