mcafee 8.7 problem

hey guys

i have a vista 64 bit os and i'm running mcafee 8.7 with the latest updates...

i dont get it.... why would this be happening ???

i also should add that this is a clean install so all that is on this laptop is vista 64 bit office 2007 and mcafee.

Sounds like windows defender is blocking. I couldn't say why but it is that or windows firewall, make sure that the firewall is allowing McAfee, and also check windows defender, it should be in the control panel, security center. I personally do not use defender so I can not tell you how to fix it, but look at this Microsoft Support Page and it might be able to help you! :)

made sure that firewall allows it.. and i turned off defender all together... and still having the same problem :(

Are you still having this issue? Are you running VMWare on the machine? There are settings in McAfee for configuring how it protects VMWare files and settings.
