Just thought I'd give everyone the heads-up about Creative Entertainment Center v5.10.16!

I have been having various problems with v3.40.21, on both Windows XP and Windows Vista - with my Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Elite Pro.

Today, I installed the newer version and ALL problems are fixed. OSD problems in Vista - fixed! Volume Control in XP - fixed! Random remote control problems - fixed! Widescreen issues - fixed! This version actually WORKS!

Works with Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).

To enable this installation on your X-Fi, Audigy 2/4 and other SoundBlaster USB/PCI cards - simply follow instructions below.

  • With WinRAR (or similar) extract to a new folder (e.g. C:\EXTRACT).
  • And then add (overwrite) with this file into same folder.
  • Execute SETUP.EXE to begin installation - follow on-screen instructions.

After installation, open Remote Control Settings (from Start Menu) and set the model of Remote Control to the one you own (if necessary).

Your instructions are incomplete. I tried the information you stated, it if failed. Also your Zshare file share, has attempted to install a virus as a result exploits in the coding of the site.

my main question is, which of the support cab files did you replace. please reply with the dictory structor.

      Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
