No process killed, oh well it's working again. would be cool to have animated wallpapers :p

E17

It's nicely packed here, add those sources to your /etc/apt/sources.list if you want to try it out:

#E17
deb http://e17.dunnewind.net/ubuntu hardy e17
deb-src http://e17.dunnewind.net/ubuntu hardy e17
deb http://www.vobcopy.org/mirror/elive/ elive main efl elive

A good collection of animated wallpapers can be found here: http://exchange.enlightenment.org/

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
e17: Depends: efl-all (= cvs20060518) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

Download this key from the server and import it:

wget http://e17.dunnewind.net/repo_key.asc

sudo apt-key add repo_key.asc

I believe you also need to add a Debian experimental repo to the list, or install the package manually.

EDIT: Comment the elive line:

# deb http://www.vobcopy.org/mirror/elive/ elive main efl elive

Should conflict with the other repo versions. Then update ant install E17, should work.

EDIT2:

To install from the SVN repo:

Add the flowing repo to the /etc/apt/sources.list file:

deb http://cafelinux.org/Downloads/oz-os tinwoodman main

get the repo key and import it:

wget -q http://cafelinux.org/Downloads/oz-os/key.asc
sudo apt-key add key.asc

install E17-SVN:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cvs
sudo apt-get install e17-svn

This one is the best choice, I guess.

Thanks for you help Lechio, one more thing needed, loving e17.

I'm running dual 17" screens, with a combined resolution of 2560x1024. how can i get my wallpapers ( which are set to that res, span both screens and have both screens act as one desktop?
