Jup. Without the shellstyle is looks like Windows Classic. The shellstyle addresses those buttons in the "Add or Remove Programs" dialog.

what are you using for your clock, and weather if you don't mind sharing?

I'm using Clock Tray Skins for my clock (www.drive-software.com) - Technics skin

And for the Calendar, I'm using Rainmeter with a custon skin - Moxa Weather, with Tango weather icons.
