I just bought Matrix SpiderMan and X-men SVCD....so i just wanna save this file on my HD

i like to watch them whenever i like(thats why i bought a big HD:p )....

so what do u think is the better way to Encode the .Dat file???

Xvid,DivX(4,5)???? and whats the best MP3 Bitrate????

i am using TMPEnc and i searched Doom9.org but didnt find anything related to this subject...

Or do u think the .Dat file will be better and just copy it on the HD and watch it like as it... :rolleyes:

i know how to encode the movie,,and TMPEnc can encode Divx and Xvid .....

but i wanna know the best options to encode the movie if Divx and Xvid?????

and the bitrate for MP3 . cuz i heared thats over 192Kb u wont feel difference....

and i wanna the file on my HD cuz they are 3 movies and i dont like to putting CDS and ejecting CDs...

in term of Picture Quailty....

Yes converting to MPEG2 from the DAT will be the best you'll get because SVCDs are already MPEG2 files. When you run it through a vcdgear-type program, it basically just strips some stuff off the file that isn't needed unless it's an SVCD giving you the actual source. Converting that to divx would degrade the quality.

Note that when you run it through vcdgear, it's not actually recoverting/recompressing the file.
