Fear Factory

Recommended Posts

Wow. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Oh, and you could just call me Ryan if you prefer.

Thanks for the history lesson there too. I just recently got into Fear Factory a while back. Just a mention always gets Keldyn's attention. ;)

Tell me more about this DVD. Spunds interesting. :)

are they still gonna come out with 1 more album to satisfy the contract? or is that what hatefiles is?

Hatefiles is a collection of rare, unreleased tracks, material that was never approved for final press or simply deleted. It's a good representation of both sides of the band. Their unique hi-tech, futuristic metal style and their adventurous remixes of existing favorites.

The material in hatefiles is not new and so there was very little if any band involvement behind it.

One particular track, Terminate, was actually scrapped after Burton left the band. They had the majority of the song down but was without vocals. Despite the split however the band honored their committment and the song was completed and added to HateFiles in time for release.

Unconfirmed Fear Factory rumor here folks. It has been stated that the band are planning to continue but with a new guitarist. I am guessing they have kicked Dino out the door. This is good news as Burton made no secret that Dino was largely responsible for the band's breakup. What else can I say but woohoo!!! Long live Fear Factory.

I really hope that they decide to continue with it, I'd like to see em live again, at least one more time

Long Live Fear Factory

:punk:

They have got a lot of airplay and made a few great music videos. Most noticeable are Cars, Resurrection, Linchpin and Replica. Their music has featured in a lot of movies, particularly video games. Check out Messiah, Demolition Racer and the upcoming Terminator 3 game where their song "terminate" features. Great track (Y)

:ninja: I know it's been a year now. Please don't beat me with the whacky stick, I might enjoy it. :shifty:

Anyway, seriously, this idea of mine might still happen. I got a chance to get some free CDs in the mail soon and I've made some Fear Factory selections. So can I get an update on some good songs to make a mix out of? I'd rather bring my thread back than make an all new one of the same subject matter. :p

And was there a new album of there's that came out recently? I thought a saw new Fear Factory CDs on shelves at Best Buy a while ago.

I also heard that Toxikk is going to go see them live soon. Any word on where this live tour is at and who else is in it? I thought I heard Slipknot is touring with them as well. :punk:

that owns! anita a ff fan!

hell yeah.

anyways, ryan. just get all the albums. each has its own style and sound.

not sure why, but they kinda dropped the idea of each album showing how machines will overrule humans.

i remember back in the day they said that each album would be different in a sense that it would simulate machines taking over.

im glad that it didnt, cuz it would prolly turn into techno metal like the berzerker or something.

but archetype STILL owns me.

well, bro, technically it still does

machines taking over= industry flooded with nu-metal pop....and thats what "Archetype" is mostly about

the Machine is the industry...word?

    • TeraCopy 4.0 Build 28 by Razvan Serea TeraCopy is a compact program designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed, also providing you with a lot of features. Copy files faster. TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce seek times. Asynchronous copy speeds up file transfer between two physical hard drives. Pause and resume transfers. Pause copy process at any time to free up system resources and continue with a single click. Error recovery. In case of copy error, TeraCopy will try several times and in the worse case just skips the file, not terminating the entire transfer. Interactive file list. TeraCopy shows failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only problem files. Shell integration. TeraCopy can completely replace Explorer copy and move functions, allowing you work with files as usual. TeraCopy is free for non-commercial use only. For commercial use you need to buy a license. The paid version of the program includes the following features: Copy/move to your favorite folders. Save reports as HTML and CSV files. Select files with the same extension/folder. Remove the selected files from the copy queue. Features added since version 3.17: Enhanced speed graph. New multi-threaded copy engine. Support for copying to multiple targets. Queue system for managing multiple copy operations. Support for receiving files via the LocalSend protocol. TeraCopy entry in the modern Windows Explorer context menu. Integrated toolbar in the title bar. Why receive LocalSend transfers with TeraCopy? Handle file conflicts: Skip, overwrite, or rename files when a file with the same name already exists. LocalSend always creates another copy, which can waste time and disk space, especially when resuming an interrupted transfer. Filter unwanted files: Apply ignore lists or remove files manually before accepting a transfer, so unnecessary files are not downloaded. Better performance on fast networks: In tests over a 10 Gbps connection, TeraCopy received files several times faster than the standard LocalSend app on Windows. TeraCopy 4.0 Build 28 changelog: Fixed a bug where Overwrite behaved as Overwrite All during same-drive move operations. AdvancedInstaller fixed the installer’s security vulnerability: EXE Bootstrapper resolved the %appdata% location incorrectly for the System account.
