I am looking to get a phone for work, and I am split between the Blackberry Bold and the Curve 8900.

BOLD:

CURVE 8900:

I really do not care about the price. I however do like that the 8900 is smaller. But i like the build of the Bold better, imo.

Can you guys please maybe point to something which i have missed (except for the slower processor, no 3g in 8900)

Myself after playing with both to do an upgrade (Not done yet, still on 8700), I prefer the curve.. I'm not crazy about the keys feeling like one big key.. The 8700 and 8900 curve, the keys are seperate with a little spacing.. Also, the camera on the curve is 3MP, bold is 2 I believe and the bold screen is a little smaller... But, the Wifi is a nice bonus and FULL GPS features..

I have yet to try the new bold or curve, what does the bold have data wise that is better?

It's not so much that it has something better, but something faster. The Bold 9000 has 3G whereas the Curve 8900 doesn't. With 3G, you'll get higher bandwidth and data transfer rates which is ideal for a smart phone. It also has a built-in document editor, but that's no biggie.

Doc editor? The Documents-to-go feature? (Never used it..) If so, thats in OS 4.5 and the 8700 has it now too. :p

I won't use 3G till Rogers has an unlimited plan because I know, if I have the speed, I will use more. :) haha...

The choice lies with you. Do you want to go 3G and future-proof or do you want to stick with 2G and limit yourself with good reason, of course. I don't see Rogers offering an unlimited plan anytime soon. Maybe when they start offering 4G service, who knows.

..and could be a while...

lol so you'll never get a Bold then

rogers has said time and time again they do not believe in and will never offer unlimited data

The closest thing they have offered is the 6GB plan which was a promo

Even on my iPhone I don't usually go over 1GB a month

You'd really only use a lot of data if you tether a lot
