Backup Software (which to use?)

Question

Norton Ghost, at least the version bundled with Systemworks Pro 2k3, does not allow for directory-only backups (at least not that I can find). I need a solution that will allow me to schedule a backup of My Docs and maybe one other directory on a daily basis. Anyone have any ideas?

Note: I have tried using the windows xp built-in backup and the scheduling interface is horrible. It never seems to run the way I want it to, when I want it to do so.

Well if you want documents you can try RCS @ http://www.ComponentSoftware.com. ITs a full fledged CVS system which is super easy to use. Free for personal use and allows you to keep track of document and source code changes. Perfect for me.

For physical backups I use Nero. Backup programs, I find confusing. I've made a separate partion on my HDD for all my work, its easy to make sure it gets backed up. I'm looking for a Perl Script to automate everything - I'm sure there are some to suit your needs or can be easily modified. I'm rather intent on using as Perl Script than software.
