No, I found some Windows media player 12 files that can be patched with the existing WMP11 in Windows XP. When I tried to to replace the files , wmploc.dll in Windows\system32 is automatically recreated . I want to delete this file permanently .

Hi I tried to install Windows media player 12 on Windows Vista , using some files I downloaded .Here they asks me to replace wmploc.dll in Windows\system32 folder with another one . But each time when I remove the file ,it is regenerated . Any solution for this problem ??

Do it from another OS. You may also have to turn system protection off
