USB2 Disconnection Issue from PCI USB Card

Hi All,

I have an irritating issue on one of my PCs. Depending on the device I use, my PCI USB2 card will disconnect the device. My IPOD won't transfer more then 2 or 3 songs before disconnect, and my Canon Camera randomly will be able to connect so I can grab my Pictures, but most of the time it will not work. I need to buy an external HD since I am running out of space, and friends hardrives would disconnect.

I downloaded the Hotfix which I thought would resolve this issue, however, it did not resolve my issue:

I have an ALi PCI to USB Open Host Controller. The card has 5 USB2 slots.

The funny thing is that I can transfer information to my PSP without any issue. So I am not sure what this can be. Does anyone have idea what this can be.

- Is there a power managing app I can download to see if the PC cannot power these apps and therefore are causing disconnects?

- Any other ideas?
