^ Same, im awaiting for 20mbit to be on docsis 3.0 if it ever happens, that be awesome. I only get 8mbit on my tests but i pay for 20mbit. but hey.. wait, that may be just speedtest because from microsoft's website i get like 2.40mb/s download during the day today. never ever had it that fast before. hmm.

That kinda reflects why I'm glad I didnt' opt for the 20Mb package, to be honest. It's only when I download from either:

  • The BBC
  • The Times Online (Bugle Podcast)
  • Revision3
  • Microsoft
  • Apple.com (for trailers)

That I hit what appears to be my max speed (around 1.22mb/s). All other sites don't tend to go above 800kb, so it'd seem like a waste of money (that's just in my situation, obviously not for everyone).

Having said that, if Virgin wanna upgrade my connection, for free, at somepoint in the future, I'm not gonna stop 'em :)

I really used to love the ultrakill high speed internet, but for me I think I peaked at 10meg. Does what I want it to do for the most part. Not downloading as much anymore, and even at what I have, it doesn't take too long anyway.

Decent upload speeds, very nice. I wish virginmedia hre in uk would have faster upload speed on there packages.

Thanks.

And my download speeds are actually advertised as being 30 down, but my upload is advertised as 4 up, so I will definitely take a bit less on the down for more on the up, as since I work from home about 80% of the time I do a lot of uploading to work's servers so it really helps.
